PSI is a global non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of people in the developing world by focusing on serious challenges like a lack of family planning, HIV and AIDS, barriers to maternal health, and the greatest threats to children under five, including malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia and malnutrition. PSI/Myanmar began operations in 1995 and is a recognized leader in improving
the range and quality of products and services delivered through the private health sector. The organizations primary interventions focus on Family Planning, HIV/ STI prevention and treatment, diarrheal disease, Malaria, Tuberculosis, and other health areas through its expansive formal and non-formal network of doctors and health providers. PSI/Myanmar has played a lead role in forging public/private partnerships and has a strong working relationship with MOHS and other key public and private agencies.
