MD Position Advertisement at MMiC
Myanmar International Consultants Co. Ltd. (MMIC), Yangon (www.mmicltd.com), established in 2012 is one of the first local civil engineering consulting companies in Myanmar. MMIC provides consultancy services on the development and ex*****on of general infrastructure projects financed by donor agencies like the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, KfW Development Bank a. o. as well and private investors.
MMIC is looking for a Managing Director to provide vision and leadership combined with a hands-on business approach to manage and develop MMIC, especially with regard to their cooperation with international partners and finance institutions. The
Managing Director works closely with the Board of Directors and is expected to play an integral role in the future development of MMIC. The Managing Director will have the following responsibilities:
· Develop strategic business and budget plan
· Deal with local and international partners
· Recruit local engineers in line with individual requirements and set up of data base
· Set up, execute and monitor closely all projects of MMIC
· Report to Board, donor agencies and individual investors
· Develop human resources
Position Requirements:
· University degree in civil engineering and/ or general business degree
· Minimum of 7 years management experience, including finance administration
· Good understanding of civil engineering and best practice engineering consulting services would be
an asset.
· Profound knowledge of the local Myanmar business environment
· Experience in project- and human resources management
· Ability to draw up budgets, plan and control targets and timelines Experience with project
application procedures of international funding agencies such as Asian Development Bank, World
Bank, KfW Development Bank etc. would be an asset
· Excellent command of English
· Excellent computer skills (MS Office)
Working Place / Conditions:
This is a full-time position based at MMIC’s headquarters in Yangon, Myanmar
Salary and benefits will be an attractive package, including a shareholding stake in MMIC.
