I am pleased to share that I have completed five days regional training on traceability systems for market access and food safety compliance at Mekong Institute (MI).
The training strengthened my understanding of traceability requirements, food safety standards and their critical role in enabling market access.
Food safety alone is sufficient in today’s markets, sustainability considerations including social and environmental aspects are increasingly important.
Digital traceability platforms are now widely adopted and play a critical role in enhancing transparency, supporting food safety requirements and meeting market access expectations.
I have developed an action plan for the design and implementation of a traceability system for oyster mushroom crackers value chain and I look forward to moving from learning to implementation.
