Казахстан зэвсэгт хүчний шинэчлэл хийж эхлэв.

Казахстаны Актау хотоос 43 км орчим зайд болсон “Каспийн хамгаалалт–2026” сургуулилтын үеэр завинаас бууж байсан 17 цэргийн алба хаагч Каспийн тэнгист урссанаас 14 нь амиа алдсан харамсалтай хэрэг гарав. Уг үйл явдалтай холбогдуулан цэргийн таван удирдах албан тушаалтныг албан үүрэгтээ хайнга хандсан байж болзошгүй гэсэн үндэслэлээр саатуулан шалгаж эхэлжээ.

Ослын дараа Казахстаны Ерөнхийлөгч Касым-Жомарт Токаев Батлан хамгаалах яаманд иж бүрэн шалгалт хийхийг даалган, шинэ сайд томилж зэвсэгт хүчинд өргөн хүрээний шинэчлэл хийхийг үүрэгджээ.

Шинэчлэлийн хүрээнд командлалын бүтцийг өөрчилж, цахим технологийн хэрэглээг нэмэгдүүлэхээр тусгасан нь Казахстаныг НАТО-гийн гишүүн Турк эсвэл БНХАУ-тай батлан хамгаалах хамтын ажиллагаагаа өргөжүүлэхийг зорьж байж болзошгүй хэмээн судлаачид үзэж байна.

АНУ Арктик дахь Орос, Хятадын нөлөөг хязгаарлахыг зорьж байна.

2026 оны 9 дүгээр сарын 22-нд АНУ, Дани болон Гриландын төлөөлөгчид Арктик, Хойд Атлантын бүсийн аюулгүй байдлын хамтын ажиллагааг өргөжүүлэх шинэ хэлэлцээрт гарын үсэг зурж АНУ-ын оролцоог тус бүс нутагт өргөжүүлэхээр тохиролцов.

Уг хэлэлцээрт Гринланд дахь Питуффик сансрын баазыг өргөтгөн шинэчлэхээс гадна Нарсарсуак болон Местерсвигт хоёр шинэ цэргийн бааз байгуулах тухай тусгагдсан байна. Түүнчлэн хэлэлцээрээр Гринланд дахь Дани Улсын бүрэн эрхт байдлыг баталгаажуулахаас гадна Арктик дахь НАТО-гийн оролцоо, цэргийн сургуулилалт, тагнуулын хамтын ажиллагааг нэмэгдүүлэхээр талууд тохиролцсон байна.

Үүний зэрэгцээ, НАТО-гийн гишүүн бус орнууд Гринландад цэргийн байгууламж байгуулах, байнгын цэргийн хүч байрлуулахыг талуудын зөвшөөрөлгүйгээр хориглож, үндэсний аюулгүй байдалд эрсдэл учруулж болзошгүй гадаадын хөрөнгө оруулалтад мөн хязгаарлалт хийхээр тусгажээ.

Арктикийн мөс хайлж, далайн тээврийн шинэ чиглэлүүд нээгдэхийн хэрээр тус бүс нутгийн стратегийн ач холбогдол өсөн нэмэгдэж буй. Шинэ хэлэлцээр нь АНУ болон НАТО-гийн тандалт, цэргийн оролцоог өргөжүүлэх замаар Орос, Хятадын Арктик дахь өсөн нэмэгдэж буй цэргийн болон стратегийн идэвхэд хариу үзүүлэх өргөн хүрээний бодлогын нэг хэсэг хэмээн судлаачид үзэж байна.

ОХУ НАТО-гийн гишүүн оронд халдах магадлал нэмэгдэж байна гэж Дани анхаарууллаа.

Дани Улсын Цэргийн тагнуулын албанаас ОХУ-ын зүгээс ойрын саруудад НАТО-гийн гишүүн орон руу жижиг хэмжээний цэргийн ажиллагаа явуулах эрсдэл өсөн нэмэгдэж буй талаар анхааруулжээ. Тодруулбал, Оросын тал НАТО-ийн гишүүн орны нутаг дэвсгэрт өдөөн хатгасан шинжтэй цөөн тооны цэрэг оруулах, эсвэл Украинд дэмжлэг үзүүлэхэд ашиглагдаж буй дэд бүтэц рүү алсын тусгалт пуужингийн цохилт өгөх боломжтой хэмээн үзжээ.

Мөн Европын хэмжээнд хорлон сүйтгэх үйл ажиллагаа, цахим халдлага эрчимжиж болзошгүйг саяхан Польш дахь Starlink-н станцад гал гарсан явдалтай холбон тайлбарласан бөгөөд Украины цэргийн холбоонд саатал учруулсан тус станцыг хэвийн үйл ажиллагаанд оруулсан ч эзэн холбогдогч нь тодорхойгүй хэвээр байгаа ажээ.

Uchral Begins First Official Visit to Japan

Prime Minister N.Uchral began a four-day official visit to Japan on September 27, his first overseas visit since taking office. He is scheduled to hold talks with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on September 29 on bilateral cooperation, regional issues and the countries’ Special Strategic Partnership.

Japanese media reported that discussions are also expected to cover a proposed tax treaty, possible yen-loan support for expanding Chinggis Khaan International Airport, and cooperation under Japan’s POWERR Asia energy framework.

Uchral will also meet leaders of both houses of parliament, JICA, JETRO, the Japan-Mongolia Economic Committee and business representatives.

India and Mongolia Begin 18th Nomadic Elephant Military Exercise

The 18th India-Mongolia joint military exercise, Nomadic Elephant 2026, began on September 21 at the Foreign Training Node in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, and will run through October 3.

The annual platoon-level exercise, held alternately in India and Mongolia, involves 45 personnel from each side and focuses on strengthening interoperability and joint capabilities for counter-insurgency operations in semi-urban and mountainous terrain under a UN mandate.

The exercise follows the 17th edition held in Ulaanbaatar in 2025 and comes after India’s participation in Mongolia’s Khaan Quest 2026 multinational peacekeeping exercise.

BREAKING: G.Temuulen Appointed Justice and Home Affairs Minister

MP G.Temuulen was appointed Minister of Justice and Home Affairs on September 22, replacing S.Amarsaikhan. Prime Minister N.Uchral presented the appointment to Parliament, after which Temuulen answered lawmakers’ questions, took the Cabinet oath and formally assumed office.

The MPP Governing Board had earlier backed his nomination unanimously. Temuulen has served three terms in Parliament since 2016 and previously chaired the Budget Standing Committee and the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy. He becomes the fifth person to hold the justice portfolio since 2024.

Mongolia, China and Russia Discuss Trade and Logistics Cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia N.Nomtoibayar met representatives of the Mongolian, Chinese and Russian chambers of commerce on September 17 during the 19th Mongolia-China-Russia Trade and Economic Forum in Ulaanbaatar.

The sides discussed expanding trilateral trade, improving transport and logistics links, attracting investment and advancing joint projects. Nomtoibayar highlighted plans to strengthen free economic zones, support value-added production and improve coordination on standards, laboratories and technical regulations.

Chinese and Russian representatives expressed interest in cooperating on Mongolia’s transport, logistics and free-zone initiatives and expanding private-sector ties.

MPP Backs G.Temuulen as Next Justice and Internal Affairs Minister

The MPP Governing Board unanimously backed MP G.Temuulen for appointment as Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs on September 17, following the dismissal of S.Amarsaikhan a day earlier. Temuulen, an economist serving his third term in Parliament, has previously chaired the Budget Standing Committee and the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy, but has not served as a Cabinet minister.

Democratic Party Demands Confidence Vote, Delays 2027 Budget Debate

The Democratic Party caucus called on Prime Minister N.Uchral to seek a confidence vote, citing internal Cabinet tensions and broader governance concerns.

Party leader O.Tsogtgerel said ministers no longer trust the Prime Minister and vice versa, while the caucus also referenced controversies involving proposed school funding and Justice and Internal Affairs Minister S.Amarsaikhan.

U.S. and Mongolia Set Five-Year Defense Cooperation Roadmap

U.S. and Mongolian defense officials are holding their annual Bilateral Defense Framework consultations in Washington, D.C., from September 8-11, where they agreed on a structured roadmap to increase Mongolia’s defense spending over the next five years and align U.S. security assistance with Mongolia’s defense requirements.

U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of War Alvaro Smith and Ministry of Defense State Secretary Major General D.Gankhuyag also discussed improving the readiness and capabilities of the Mongolian Armed Forces, expanding combined military exercises, and strengthening Mongolia’s defense industrial base.

Smith highlighted Mongolia’s contributions to the Board of Peace and Haiti Gang Suppression Force and reaffirmed the importance of Mongolia’s Strategic Third Neighbor Partnership with the United States.
