Individual’s Personal Income Tax Return for the Year of Assessment 2026 is now available for submission via the Malta Tax and Customs Administration’s online portal.

Individual personal tax returns for the Basis Year 2025 must be submitted by 30 June 2026.

Congratulations to Maria Kristina Cassar on her appointment as Head of the Tax Compliance Department at Fenlex Corporate Services.

Maria Kristina joined Fenlex in 2023 as Tax Supervisor and was entrusted with this role in 2026. She oversees a team of tax accountants supporting clients across a range of industries, ensuring high standards of service, compliance with Maltese tax legislation and timely delivery.

Maria Kristina began her career in 2015 at a Big 4 firm in Malta. She is a Certified Public Accountant, ACCA Fellow, and holds a Professional Award in Taxation from the Malta Institute of Taxation.

Her practice focuses on both direct and indirect taxation as well as payroll services. She gives advice on local and international tax matters. She is also actively involved in knowledge sharing, delivering lectures at local institutions and contributing to various professional committees.

The event combined a 130km relay run around the island and a cross‑island trek, celebrating teamwork, endurance and shared purpose in support of causes focused on people, sport and nature.

Round Malta brought together 90 team members and their families for a first‑of‑its‑kind initiative supporting people, sport and nature.

Fenech & Fenech and Fenlex brought together a team of 90 staff members, along with a number of their immediate family members, for 'Round Malta' – a first-of-its-kind initiative by a professional services organisation in Malta.

The event comprised a 130km relay run around the perimeter of Malta and a concurrent 16km trek across the island from end to end along the historic Victoria Lines trail.

The first runners set off at 5.00am from St Julian’s Bay with the last group returning nearly 15 hours later. The day was about teamwork, endurance and a shared sense of purpose, all in support of three charitable causes focused on people, sport and nature.

Nicolai Vella Falzon, Managing Partner, who ran with colleagues along parts of the route, noted:

“This was not only about supporting charity, but also about recognising what can be achieved through teamwork, and the importance of movement and sport as part of a balanced life. It reflected our belief in doing what is right for the communities we serve, while focusing on what truly matters – bringing our people together to achieve results that none of us could manage alone.”
