MICAS, Floriana – A Landmark Project by J&J Gauci

We are proud to have contributed to one of Malta’s most significant cultural projects – the new Malta International Contemporary Art Space (MICAS) in Floriana.

For this prestigious development, J&J Gauci carried out extensive stonework using:

▪️ 447m² of Lava Stone
▪️ 360m² of Local Hardstone

A particularly special aspect of this project was the restoration and reinstallation of the local hardstone. Carefully sourced from other locations around Malta, each stone was expertly restored by our team and given a new life within this remarkable cultural space, preserving both its character and heritage.

This project reflects our commitment to quality craftsmanship, sustainable practices, and the preservation of Malta’s architectural legacy while contributing to modern public spaces of national importance.
