VACANCY FOR OFFICE ASSISTANT

We are looking for a highly organised and experienced office assistant to join our company on a full-time basis. The successful candidate would be expected to work efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment providing administrative support to the Company’s Operations and Administration units. Candidates should be resident in Malta and able to take up the job within a few weeks of being selected.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the general running of the office including checking mail, filling and scanning documents
• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process for new hires
• Maintain and reconcile employee records, including leave records and timesheets
• Monitor uniform stocks, process purchase orders with suppliers, issue / receive uniforms to new/terminated staff

You will need:
• Professional attitude and presentation
• Have a good level of spoken and written English
• Have good administrative skills backed with experience
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team
• Good Microsoft Office knowledge
• Be proficient in the use of payroll software
• Ability to effectively time manage and prioritise multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and customer service skills towards staff and clients

• Be computer literate & familiar with Microsoft Office applications (preferably with ECDL accreditation)
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Have good Customer Care skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Have a clean Police record

Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Customer Care positions. The post will carry basic hourly rate of €5.00 + Allowances.

I rarely take to social media to express my thoughts but in the morning a good friend of mine and an ex colleague, Joe Howard, will be laid to rest.

For those in our company that do not know him Joe was Khiron’s operations manager for a number of years. In everyday life Joe’s courage and willingness to stick to his principles made him stand out from those around him. But I also admired Joe highly for the respect and loyalty that he had for the people that he led and for his willingness to help others whenever he could. He was an example to us all and I, for one, certainly learnt a lot from him.

Every time that I met up with Joe it was always so easy to slip back into conversation. I enjoyed our talks, even on topics that we did not see eye to eye on, because we could always speak openly and with mutual respect.

We will miss you Joe. No doubt you will be in good company with your brother Andrew, our rock, who those that have been at Khiron long enough will also remember so fondly.

So long Joe. Thank you for always being there. You are forever in our thoughts.

A year ago today one of our colleagues passed away. I often think of Andrew, and now that the immediate shock of his passing away has softened, the memories many times bring a smile to my face. He was always so calm and relaxed, whatever situation he was dealing with, but nothing got past him 🙂. How lucky we were to know and work with you Andrew, Rest In Peace brother.

It has been a busy couple of weeks for us and on behalf of Khiron I would like to thank all those members of staff that pulled even more than usual to help us meet our commitments to our clients. Too many of you to mention here but my sincere gratitude to all. It is always such a pleasure to work by your side. Proud of what we have achieved.
