This little paring knife has seen some things. It arrived in rough shape, dull, chipped, and definitely neglected, but we knew there was still a high-performance tool hiding under the surface.

After some serious time on the stones, it’s officially back from the brink. It’s no longer the "forgotten" blade in the back of the drawer, it’s now the sharpest tool on the prep station.

This gyuto had lost its geometry. It wasn’t just dull, it was too thick behind the edge, making every cut feel like a struggle. We did a clean reset to bring that edge back to life. Now, it glides instead of grinds.

The tissue test doesn’t lie. 📄✂️

Just finished up a service on these two barber shears.

1️⃣ The Thinning/Texturizing Scissors: These looked okay at a glance, but they were failing the tissue paper test. If they can’t cut clean through tissue, they are definitely pulling and snagging the client's hair. 😣

2️⃣ The Cutting Scissors: These were simply overworked and dull from heavy use. They needed a full restoration to get that buttery smooth close again.
