Our client, a CSP company, is looking for an Accounts Executive - https://www.peeple.com.mt/our-vacancies/
The role will involve:
A - preparing management accounts,
B – preparing and submitting VAT returns of clients (and other forms related to the VAT Dept),
C – closing off accounts in preparation for Audit,
D - posting and reconciling audit/management journals on accounting systems,
E – assistance with Ah-Hoc reports, and
F – assistance to subordinates.
The role involves the accurate recording of financial transactions, the production of financial reports and financial statements on a regular basis and the filing of VAT returns as required. The accounts executive also ensures accuracy and compliance with financial policies and regulations. This role involves meticulous attention to detail, financial analysis, and knowledge of VAT regulations to facilitate informed decision-making and regulatory compliance.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
*Currently following ACCA course and examinations.
*Experience working on VAT submissions and management accounts will be considered an asset.
*A minimum of one year of experience working in an accounting environment in Malta.
*Is proficient in Excel and Accounting Software.
*Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organisation and with staff or clients at remote locations.
*Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
*Possess a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
*Possesses a sharp eye for detail.
*Possesses excellent organisation skills.
*Works well under pressure and against deadlines.
