Earlier this week, Pearson Purpose hosted the event 'Inside the Boardroom: Being an Effective Director in Today's Corporate Setting.' The event was supported by the Financial Times Board Director Programme.
Throughout the event, speakers and panelists discussed various aspects that contribute to board performance. Some observations included: Behaviours that contribute to an effective NED; Governance, regulation, and the role of the directors and the board; the significance of diversity in its broader sense (skills, gender, expertise); successes and improvements that can be made in Malta; the implications of data an AI in making sound decisions.
Thank you to Lesley Stephenson and Jenny Fazakerley from the FT Board Director Programme UK, who provided insights into the FT NED Diploma, Marisa Xuereb for her speech and the Malta Chamber for hosting the event.
We would like to express our gratitude to the outstanding speakers who captivated the audience with their knowledge and experience: Dr Deandra Schembri, Dr Geraldine Spiteri Lucas, Kevin Rapinett, Julianne Grima, Michael Collis, Leonard Bonello, Gege Gatt and Mikela Fenech Pace
