Mission ‘Restore our Ocean and waters by 2030’- The Mediterranean lighthouse in action

The European Commission is organising this high-level event in close collaboration with the Italian government, the Sicily Region, and the University of Palermo, with the assistance of the BlueMissionMed Co-ordination and Support Action. On May 31st Mr Spiteri will be discussing Green Deal Malta platform during one of the panels. This platform addresses some very sensitive environmental issues and other EU targets such as this one presented by the EU Missions: Restore our ocean and waters. Mr Spiteri will discuss Green Deal Malta’s focus and how the platform plans to continue its work in the future with a continued presence on the web and through social media to raise awareness amongst people of the latest EU missions and related EU-funded programmes that may be available to address such issues.

Mr Spiteri will attend the EIT Digital meets Maltese Digital Ecosystem event, which will be held online on June 15th. The EIT Digital Team will showcase various activities and opportunities EIT Digital offers for the private sector, government entities and academia in Malta. EIT Digital is a leading European organisation that focuses on fostering digital innovation and entrepreneurship across Europe.

During the one-hour online session, the EIT Digital Team led by Dr Tuan Trinh, Regional Node Director of EIT Digital, will present the main pillars of EIT Digital, including the education, innovation, and business areas, and will highlight the opportunities and benefits available to those who participate in EIT Digital activities.
