ITF World Junior 18&U – Alexandre Thevenet réussit son entrée

Le jeune Mauricien de 13 ans, Alexandre Thevenet, a parfaitement lancé son tournoi en signant une belle victoire au premier tour du tableau principal de l’ITF World Junior 18&U. Il a écarté le Sud-Africain William Harding au terme d’un combat en trois sets (4-6, 6-2, 6-4).

Bousculé d’entrée et perturbé par les interruptions dues à la pluie, Alexandre a concédé la première manche. Mais il a réagi avec autorité, retrouvant son agressivité pour égaliser grâce à un deuxième set parfaitement maîtrisé (6-2).

Dans la manche décisive, marquée par de nombreux breaks, il a pris l’avantage à 5-3 avant de conclure solidement sur son service (6-4).
