Eco glass by Studio 44 Mauritius We believe in the circular economy and circular design. Our creations have all been design with the contact us for info re days, time, subject and prices.

We are giving workshops during the week on many different crafts. Our aim is to empower locals and give them the necessary training and support so that they can support themselves and family and earn enough to have a decent living standard.

The hydraulic sliding formwork was pionered in South Africa in the early 80's by Formscaff. It was use in building silos. I sold the system to a civil engeneering company in Richards Bay. Was the first step to a contineous pour.
Things have progressed it is great to see the system working in areas where access and supporting structure would ha e made the project impossible.

August 2024 time to start with my workshops. I will start with the Introduction to mosaic. please note only four per workshops. first come first serv. Looking forward to share my experience and love for glass.
INTRODUCTION TO MOSAIC
Morning workshop 9 30 to 12 30
In the workshop you will learn how to use glass pieces at random on a glass base to create your own unique window charm.
I will show you the various possibilities of using mosaics as a decorative or practical art-form, on various types of bases and show you how to make your own unique glass pieces, by cutting, painting and fusing them.
The cost of the workshop is Rupees 2500.00. All materials supplied.
I will start weekly workshops for the ones wishing to move forward and start creating their own projects. The first workshop proposed is for five mornings where you will make a wooden tray with glass mosaic. You will design your project -if needed I will guide you-and cut/ paint your mosaic pieces (I have a great stock of already cut mosaic that you can choose from) each piece will glued down on the tray. When dried will do the grouting.
The cost of the workshop is Rs 10,000.00
The introduction workshop will be on the 20 August 9 30 to 12 30.
