The MCCI is a founding member of Cap Business Océan Indien (formerly l'Union des Chambres de Commerce et d'Industrie de l'Océan Indien), a strategic alliance connecting chambers of commerce across Mauritius, Madagascar, Réunion, Mayotte, Comoros, and Seychelles.

Through this regional platform, the MCCI actively facilitates cross-border business development and regulatory harmonisation across Indian Ocean island economies that share cultural ties, geographic proximity, and complementary economic structures.

For Members targeting regional expansion, this means access to established business networks across six island economies, participation in regional trade missions, and intelligence on regulatory frameworks with regards to market entry.

The Indian Ocean region is a natural expansion zone for Mauritian businesses, but island economies have specific challenges that continental market strategies do not address. Cap Business OI provides the institutional infrastructure that turns geographic proximity into strategic advantage.

Be part of the mainstream economy.
