🧭 A ship, a wreck, and now… two works of art.
In Clermont, France, model-maker and maritime enthusiast Serge Lambert dedicated over 2 years to handcraft two detailed scale models of the legendary Endurance, the ship lost in 1915 and rediscovered in 2022.

These maquettes were gifted to the very explorers who found her at nearly 3,000 meters depth in the Weddell Sea: John Shears and Nicolas Vincent, Operating Manager at Deep Ocean Search.
A gesture of admiration for a historic expedition, led by expertise, passion, and cutting-edge subsea technology.

The story comes full circle: a ship lost, found, and now honored through craftsmanship. As a thank-you, Serge himself received a unique 3D-printed model of the wreck as it lies on the seafloor — created by a member of the DOS expedition team.

A beautiful tribute to Endurance, to those who built her, those who sailed her, those who found her… and those who preserve her story.

From the Antarctic seabed to the Future Lab at the Goodwood Festival of Speed! 🌊

Deep Ocean Search is proud to have contributed in creating the world’s first full digital reconstruction of Shackleton’s Endurance alongside Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust , using over 25,000 laser-scanned 4K images captured by Voyis optical systems.

The result? A breathtaking interactive experience where visitors can explore the wreck in 3D, revealing flare guns, dining plates, and even century-old ropes, preserved in the icy depths.

From deep-sea tech to digital heritage, we're proud to be part of this milestone.

We are incredibly proud to join forces with Deep Sea Vision to launch a new era in ultra-deep-sea exploration.

With the unveiling of our new Mariner XL — a 6,000m-rated work-class ROV — combined with DSV’s trusted HUGIN 6000 AUV, we now offer a powerful, integrated subsea solution from a single, containerized compact platform. It’s a major step forward in making deep-sea operations faster to deploy, more efficient to run, and lighter on the environment.

Together, we are bringing cutting-edge innovation to the world’s most demanding missions — from all type of subsea inspection and mineral surveys to complex sampling or salvage recoveryand scientific exploration. This is what drives us: pushing boundaries, breaking records, and working as one team, wherever the ocean takes us.

🏆 Endurance, now a double award-winning documentary!

We’re proud to share that the film retracing the Endurance22 expedition — and the discovery of Shackleton’s legendary ship — has won two major awards:
🏅 Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Composition
🏅 Best Documentary at the Digital Broadcast Awards

Blending restored archives, AI reconstructions, and deep-sea imagery, the film connects Shackleton’s 1914 journey with the 2022 mission to find his ship under 3,000m of Antarctic ice.

At the heart of this modern-day feat: the subsea expertise of Deep Ocean Search, proud to have contributed to this extraordinary adventure — now streaming on Disney+.

And of course, a huge congratulation to our family friends of the broadcast team: little dot studios, National Geographic Documentary Films Monster Films. Well done our film director Jimmy Chin, Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Natalie Hewit.

What a weekend! 🌊
On Friday, Deep Ocean Search was at Les Grandes Voiles du Havre, where Jérémie Morizet and Maëva Onde shared the incredible story of Shackleton’s Endurance, lost in Antarctic ice and rediscovered in 2022 with the Endurance22 expedition.

On Saturday, at the Nautilus Festival in Cherbourg, the film The Wrecks Off Samar was screened — telling the story of the deepest shipwreck ever found: the USS Samuel B. Roberts, discovered at 6,895 meters with the support of Deep Ocean Search and the Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust.

Two historic missions, one deep commitment to ocean exploration 🌍

🌊Victor Vescovo, legendary deep-sea explorer and world record holder, has visited de la Mer last week.

As a powerful and symbolic gesture, Victor Vescovo gifted the French flag he carried to the bottom of the Mariana Trench — now proudly displayed at the Cité de la Mer.

✨ A very special moment: he posed in front of the Wall of Océanautes with Jérémie Morizet, his co-pilot during the mission to locate the USS Samuel B. Roberts. A truly meaningful recognition and a great honor.

We are also proud to have worked with Victor, by designing and building the sonar used aboard the Limiting Factor — the submersible that took Victor to the ocean’s greatest depths.

Thank you, Victor, for continuing to inspire us and for reminding the world that the deep sea still holds incredible mysteries.

🚀 First dives for the Mariner XL!

Over the weekend, our new ROV, the Mariner XL, completed its first five dives, marking a major milestone for the Deep Ocean Search team. One of these dives reached an impressive 2,462 meters in depth! 🌊

We're proud of this achievement and incredibly grateful to our partners at FOSELEV Group and Argus Remote System for their key support throughout the project.

The journey into the deep has only just begun. Stay tuned for what’s next. 🔎🌍

🌊 No time to rest!
Our brand new ROV Mariner XL has just arrived in Toulon for its very first dive in the Mediterranean Sea 🚢

For these sea trials, we’ve partnered with Foselev Marine and their 45m vessel, M/V Castor 02 — a great example of how Mariner XL can be deployed from smaller, more efficient ships, helping us reduce our carbon footprint and operational costs, even on deep-sea missions 💡

Mobilisation is underway… and we can’t wait to share the first results from this deep dive. Stay tuned! 👀

🌊 Big week at Deep Ocean Search!

We just received one of the first Hydro6000 cameras in the world, delivered by our partners at IVM Technologies. This amazing tool allows us to create ultra-high-resolution photogrammetry down to 6000 meters deep! 📸

Training is underway with the legendary Endurance team — the same experts who created the digital twin of the wreck: Pierre Le Gall, Jérémie Morizet, Frédéric Soul and Camille Gourbesville. We’re also excited to welcome a new face to our team, Raphael Chantelot 👋

Huge thanks to IVM Technologies for their expert advice and support during the training.🙌

Next week, the Hydro6000 will be installed on our new ROV Mariner XL. Big things are coming!

🚀 New tests for Deep Ocean Search!

We’ve just completed a successful video streaming trial onboard the BE808 during an offshore campaign in Ivory Coast for the benefit of Bourbon.

Our offshore team, led by Maeva ONDE, worked with the full support of BOURBON Subsea Services and the BOURBON IT Department. Together, we mobilized and operated the SubCImaging DVR+O solution, connected to HD57 and HD37 WROVs.

🎯 The goal?
To create a real-time video streaming system, enabling onshore teams to monitor subsea operations live and without latency. Mission accomplished!

📡 Setup included:
– 4 SDI video inputs
– 2 IP cameras
– 1 microphone
âś… All tested for signal quality, resolution, and transmission stability.

This test marks a true milestone in our journey toward smarter and more efficient remote subsea operations.

Mariner XL is ready to dive! 🌊

Our brand-new ROV has successfully completed its FAT in Norway with Argus Remote Systems.

Next stop: France where it will undergo sea trials in Toulon and perform deep water demos for our clients.

The system will be available for operations by the end of June — ready to support industrial, NGO, or private missions.

📍 Stay tuned for more updates from Deep Ocean Search and the Mariner XL adventure!
