A few days off here but these photos were essentially taken one year apart. I love these side-by-side comparisons 💕
The first photo was taken in the hospital 3 days after my surgery last year. This was when I was being transitioned to “soft foods” on my way to solids foods, after several days on a liquid diet because of bad nausea & vomiting following surgery. The doctor on call that weekend recommended that my Mom get me mashed potatoes from Purity Diner to make the transition. It was basically the first thing I’d eaten in days that wasn’t vanilla pudding or low-sodium vegetable broth & it tasted SO GOOD 🥔🥔🥔 I was still in a lot of pain & still on very strong paid meds. This was also prime little baby chicky fuzz hair phase 🐣
Today, I can eat solid foods whenever I want! In fact, I eat solid foods every single day. But I still enjoy those Purity Diner mashed potatoes when I’m craving comfort food, or need to eat but don’t have much of an appetite.
My favorite refrain: What a difference a year makes 🥔💛✨
