The Innovation Sprint, the first phase of the Jumpstart program, proudly supported by MCB Group, has come to a close.

Bringing together entrepreneurs from across the continent, the Sprint was designed to help participants strengthen and refine their solutions to environmental challenges such as e-waste and plastic pollution, while preparing them for potential venture client collaborations with organisations seeking innovative and scalable solutions.

Here’s what Anne-Claire Antoinette, Sustainability Lead at MCB, had to say about the Innovation Sprint and our partnership:

“Initiatives like the Innovation Sprint, which are part of the wider Jumpstart programme, are essential. They bring people together to challenge perspectives and develop practical solutions to e-waste and plastic pollution, reminding us that progress can only be achieved through collective effort and shared action.”

Over the course of the Innovation Sprint, participants explored practical responses to these challenges, testing ideas, challenging assumptions, and shaping solutions with real potential for scale. The process highlighted the power of collaboration, and the importance of creating spaces where innovation can be grounded in real-world sustainability needs.

We extend our sincere thanks to MCB for its support and commitment in enabling this platform for impact-driven entrepreneurship — helping turn shared ideas into tangible pathways towards more circular and resilient systems.

Innovation works best when startups and industry build together.

That’s precisely why we launched the Jumpstart program a few weeks ago. 🚀

25 selected ventures from across Africa are currently working alongside corporate partners, business coaches, and sector experts to transform business challenges into pilot-ready solutions focused on e-waste and plastic waste. ♻️

What makes this approach different is that the collaboration starts early. Instead of building in isolation and searching for a market later, startups are engaging directly with organisations facing real operational challenges today.

🤝 By creating these connections from the outset, we can accelerate validation, strengthen implementation potential, and help promising ideas move faster toward real-world impact.

A big thank you to our corporate partners, Emtel and Quality Beverages for opening their doors to innovation and collaborating with entrepreneurs willing to tackle complex challenges head-on.

We’re also grateful to MCB Group for supporting the Innovation Sprint and contributing to a stronger innovation ecosystem in Mauritius. 🌍

This is just the start of the journey — and we’re excited to see what emerges from the collaboration ahead.

What if waste wasn’t just a problem… but a starting point?

At Trampoline, we believe that some of the most impactful innovations come from rethinking challenges like e-waste and plastic pollution.

We asked one of our innovative entrepreneurs to share his journey 👇

👉 Here’s what Mujahid Emambokus, founder of Morivert, had to say:
“Morivert started with a simple idea of transforming paper waste into pencils. What began as a small initiative has shown us that waste is not just a problem — it is an opportunity for innovation and impact. Programs like Jumpstart are essential today because they empower entrepreneurs to turn challenges like e-waste and plastic pollution into sustainable solutions. If you have an idea that can transform waste into value, this is the right platform to start and grow.”

Jumpstart is here to help you turn solutions into real, testable models — with the right support and partners.

♻️ Working on e-waste or plastic waste solutions? This is your moment.

♻️ What business opportunities could the circular economy unlock in Mauritius?

The circular economy is rapidly emerging as a powerful driver of innovation, resilience, and new business opportunities. For island economies like Mauritius, rethinking how we design, use, and recover resources can unlock significant economic and environmental value.

As pressures around waste management, resource efficiency, and sustainability continue to grow, new entrepreneurial opportunities are emerging across sectors.

Join us for a conversation exploring how circular economy challenges can unlock concrete business opportunities in Mauritius and across the Indian Ocean region.

The discussion will bring together two complementary perspectives:
• Grégory Martin, Founder of Mautopia
• Dimitri Stroïnovsky, Project Manager & Coach at Ovation

⚠️ Please note: the conversation will be conducted in French.
