You think this is the first time Malawi Stock Exchange - MSE going down!?

What is happening is mainly a correction in market value and investor confidence especially after a profit of about 247.63% Chaka chatha.

Many investors are reacting to forex shortages, economic pressure, uncertainty, and fear. When people panic and rush to sell shares, prices fall faster. It does not always mean companies themselves have collapsed overnight.

There was a loss aswel mu 2009, 2010 which is now a consecutive years, komaso a loss in 2015 and 2016

It might happen in the same way but it does not mean the market will be wiped..lol

Then after the loss in 2016, since then there has never been one on average so it’s normal, you don’t expect the market to always be straight

Especially ndiza Tax, Mmeneso economy ikuyendera nthawi zino, as an investor you expect that. Some investors even stopped buying when the 30% was imposed 👍

But if fear takes over, then you end up thinking everything will disappear. Take advantage of this market and thank yourself later

Standard bank has done a 1:5 share sprit as announced.
Previously, 1 share was at k12,050+ with a 1:5 sprit ,1 share is now equivalent tok2410
Meaning
1 previous share has been dicided into 5 shares ,and one current share is at k2410
Let's say you had 2 shares, that's equivalent to k24,100 , now those two shares are equal to 10, and at k2410 each, you still have your k24,100. Nothing has changed to your value.

The reason why some people succeed earlier than the other and better than the other is "Knowledge". This one will always create a difference, that's why money without financial intelligence is money soon gone.
Make sure you do all you can to acquire knowledge and invest in it before you invest in everything. When there's a webinar or a function on something you are keen to do, invest your time and attend. The more you run away from it the more you create a loop hole for challenges.

NBS bank has announced that it will br providing a dividends amounting to K1.5/share.
NBS has already paid out these dividends
K1.6/share first interim
K2.8/share second interim
K5/share third interim

This amounts toK10.9/share dividend.
The final dividend wil be provided on 26th August 2025.
For you to qualify for this dividend you must be a shareholder by 8th August 2025. You will be eligible for this.
NBS has been one of the counters that have had a stellar performance in June and July.
