Covid 19, Education and the Workplace. There has been a consequential convergence in the use of technological platforms among schools and the business world since the emergence of the Covid 19 pandemic. Zoom, Flipgrid, Edpuzzle, Adapted Minds etc. have become the mainstay of online learning. These compliment the now traditional email, WhatsApp and other platforms that have evoked a revolution in communication and the conduct of business in the past few decades.
How ready are governments and public institutions to embrace these technologies in order to cope with the extremely fluid operating environment? Is there a way we can all keep in tag of the unstoppable hands of time? Is this the time for MNOs to repackage their offers and deepen outreach so that the customer base increases in a manner that pushes down connectivity costs?
Globally, Covid 19 has pushed minds to discover their creative potential as evidenced by the production of PPE, ventilators, sanitizers, etc by universities, individuals and private organisations. Is the world learning anything from the pandemic with regards to reordering priorities in terms of public policy management?
Perhaps it is time to put our heads together and test our collective ability to think beyond the ordinary.
