Have you heard of Live Aid?
- - - - - -
For those that aren't aware, Live Aid is one of the largest music
events in history.
In 1985, 75 of the world's largest artists came together for a
performance of a lifetime.
Sequentially starting at the same time across multiple venues,
16 hours of performances commenced, all in the name of raising
donations for the Ethiopian famine occurring at the time.
You might recognize this image of Queen...
This was from his Live Aid performance at Wembley Stadium in the
UK. One of the most icon shots in the history of music!
Well... AustinSolves and ThrivAfrica have partnered with Universal
Records, the African Tourism Board, and and other major brands to
bring Live Aid 2.0 to the world in 2025, the 40th anniversary of Live
Aid.
This time, instead of the event taking place around the world, we
are bringing the event right here to Africa, reshaping the global
perception of Africa and solidifying Africa's place as an
International tourist destination.
We have decided to select 10 charitable causes and 10 different
organizations, NGO/NPOs, and charities supporting each cause to
equally distribute the donations raised to.
By doing it this way, we believe we will become the largest single
donor in the history of Africa, while solving multiple problems
being felt across the continent.
I would like your feedback... Here is our list of charitable causes,
how does it look to you?
1. Climate change/Environment
2. Health
3. Food/Agriculture
4. Water
5. Infrastructure
6. Arts/Music
7. Children
8. Women
9. Technology
10. Project Finance
Once we have nailed down the 10 causes, we will begin selecting
the 10 orgs, NGO/NPOs, and charities to donate to.
If you have any recommendations on who we should consider
for each cause, tag them in the comments so I can research and
start the conversation.
Thank for your recommendations!
