Transport Officer (Grade K) whose details are as follows:-
Post: Assistant Road Transport Officer (Non-Established)
Grade: K
Age: 18 – 35 years
Responsible to: Senior Assistant Road Transport Officer (SARTO)
Terms of Employment: One (1 ) year contract renewable satisfactory subject to performance
Job Purpose
To ensure that standards in Road Traffic Management, Road Safety and Infrastructure protection are maintained and adhered to and promote road transport safety in the country
Qualifications
a. Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering or full Certificate of City and
Guilds Part 3
b. Holder of Cl Driving Licence for at least two (2) years working experience
Duties:-
1. Conducting traffic surveillance and traffic law enforcement;
2. Carrying out axle load weighing;
3. Conducting axle enforcement using portable scales;
4. Conducting enforcement of vehicle dimensions;
5. Conducting road safety awareness and education;
6. Collecting, analyzing and compiling road transport data and;
7. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

This passenger service minibus shall be operating within Blantyre City and the driver shall be expected to be parking it at BCA Hill every evening and getting it again every morning on each and every working day. Working days are from Monday to Friday. Saturday shall always be offduty but Sunday might also be a working day if agreed by mutual parties. Therefore, SDA Christian candidates have an added advantage.

POST: Minibus Driver

(2) A clean PSV Driving License - no road accident records.

Domestic workers (in case you dont have the guidelines. Applicable both genders)
MALAWI BASIC LABOUR LAW TIPS:

1. Employ a person from 18 years above

2. Government rate is K25000 per month.

3. If you are paying less indicate other things he/she gets free

3.Must have a day off in the week.

4. If you want her to work through out the week add a day's pay to her wage. (K850)

5. Record days she is absent for no proper reason. You can deduct this from the wage.

6. If she finishes a year give her 2 weeks leave.
If however her absentism is over 14 days then she doesn't qualify for leave.

7. Public holidays must be observed. If you want her to work on such day, you must pay her.

8. If you want to dismiss her, pay her 2 week's wage.) should you want her not to save a notice. Otherwise 2 week's notice is required.

9. At the beginning of work make sure you explain all this and ensure she signs all this.

10. Any payment you make MUST be signed for. It will save you in times of differences.

11. Also keep a record of the day s/he starts work and make her sign. Also the salary agreed.

If you manage these then the book of your record is your reference. Keep it safe.

Remember s/he is an employee not your relationship. S/he can turn against you any time.
