A productive day at Aquaponic for Life!

A few days ago, we carried out fish grading, an important management practice in fish farming where fish are separated according to size. Since fish do not grow at the same rate, keeping larger and smaller fish together can lead to competition for feed, uneven growth, stress and even cannibalism in some species.

By grading the fish, we ensure that:
1. Smaller fish get fair access to feed
2. Growth becomes more uniform
3. Stress and injuries are reduced
4. Survival rates improve

One again, excellent fish management is not only about feeding fish. It is also about consistent management, monitoring and creating the right conditions for healthy growth.
