It's crucial to understand a few things about parables, and the specific context of this one:
Mind you that this is a Parable, Not a Literal Command:
Jesus often used parables (earthly stories with heavenly meanings) – to teach spiritual truths. The characters and actions within a parable are symbolic.
*This particular line is spoken by the nobleman* (the king) in the parable, *not by Jesus* to his followers as a direct command. No.
*The Characters and their Symbolic Meanings:*
*The Nobleman/King:* Represents Jesus Christ, who departs (ascension) and will return (Second Coming) to establish his full kingdom.
*The Servants:* Represent Jesus's followers who are entrusted with responsibilities (the minas/talents) during his absence.
*The "Enemies":* Represent those who explicitly and definitively reject Jesus's kingship and rule over their lives. This includes those who actively oppose him and his kingdom.
The Meaning of *"Bring them here and kill them":*
*This is a metaphorical or prophetic statement about ultimate divine judgment and the eternal consequences of rejecting Christ's rule.*
Therefore, It is not a command to do with the *love of our neighbors/enemies.*
