Have you ever seen a wildebeest? Maybe not, because there aren’t many in Malawi. At Kuti, we’re lucky to have a growing population!
These guys are the blue wildebeest, the most common species and famous for the Great Migration in East Africa. They’re also known as gnu, because of the grunting sounds they make.
These natural lawnmowers are quite bulky, yet surprisingly fast and agile. They can run up to 80 km/h (50 mph)!
At Kuti, you rarely see them do that though, because we have no predators they need to escape from😉
Come and see our wildebeests, that graze freely alongside our zebras, sable antelopes, Ginny the giraffe and other iconic Malawian wildlife!
Explore Kuti by car, on foot, cycling or even on horseback!😍
