The concept of a central file room or high density file room is to eliminate wasted office space of cluttered file cabinets. Office space is extremely valuable and usually can be re-captured by consolidating file cabinets into a central filing system. From free-standing shelving, to a high density mobile shelving system, a central file room will in most cases capture a higher density of storage than scattered cabinets utilizing height not available in file cabinets and using a smaller footprint to store files.
AIRG members pride themselves on providing solutions to problems, including designing systems away from file cabinets, getting all of your files into one centralized filing system. This process inludes an on-site survey, consultation and eventually a proposed solution.
The solution can be as simple as a high density mobile shelving system. Finding new equipment to cure a space problem is an easy solution. You may also need to convert from hanging folders to side-tab folders with color coding and a potential record management software package. Our members specialize in File Cabinet to Shelving Conversions with turnkey service on equipment, supplies, folder conversions and records management implementation.
