Thanks 🙏🏽 MCTU for entrusting us with the responsibility to facilitate the Policy Brief development on Just Transition for GCC facilitated a Workshop on developing a Policy Brief on Just Transition for Malawi Congress of Trade Unions (MCTU) and stakeholder members.

The workshop highlights; decent job security and capacity advancements in different key economic sectors as among the key elements to Just Transitioning, hence engaging diverse union members into the discussions that ended into a Policy abrief draft.

Joseph Kenson Sakala, one of our executive members, has Recommended that Malawi as a nation, We should develop a 30-50 yrs multi-sectoral & transparent Strategic Plan.. To be followed by any Political Party/Govt system that comes into power. The plan should specify targets for all sectors of development e.g. Youth, Agriculture, Healthy, Land, Financial independency, e.t.c...
This will help the nation to measure, monitor, evaluate and held our leaders accountable...
Remember, a nation without clear vision is unlikely to achieve Sustainable Development, this include Social, Economic and Environment sectors.. Lets workout every possibility when we can do it..
