MALAWI INSTUTUTE OF JOURNALISM

The Malawi Institute of Journalism a leading training institution for professional journalism is inviting applications from both practicing and aspiring journalists into its full –time and weekend Certificate, Diploma and Degree Programmes for the January- June 2022 semester.
The following are the minimum requirements for each programme:

𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞

Applicants into the Certificate programme should be holders of a full Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), with at least four credits including English.
Applicants should have an interest in current affairs and a passion for writing.

𝐃𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞
Applicants into the Diploma programme should be holders of a Certificate in journalism or its equivalent or any related higher qualification from a recognized institution.

𝐃𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞
Applicants into the Degree program must have a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent, with a minimum of six credits including English and Mathematics to join at year one.
Or
A Diploma in Journalism or any relevant qualifications from a recognised institution with a minimum of two years of work experience in the relevant field to join at year two.

Application fee is K7, 000.00 for the Certificate and Diploma and K10, 000 for the Degree program which must be deposited into MIJ account as Follows:
