Lesson 2; Learning about Christian leadership
The rewards of Christian leadership

There are many challenges in leadership, but leadership in Christ’s church can also be a wonderful experience. God often rewards his leaders in many ways.

First of all, God gives his leaders the reward of joy. Yes, there are difficult times. And there are times when a leader may want to give up. But a leader may also see God’s work in people’s lives. He may see how God uses him. This will make his own faith stronger (verse 13 in our passage). To see how the Holy Spirit works in the lives of young people, old people, new Christians, and old Christians, can bring great joy to a leader’s heart.

Secondly, God often gives his leaders the reward of a good name. Leaders should not try to be important. They should not seek praise for themselves. But they can be happy when other believers thank them for their work. They can be happy when they see how other believers begin to follow their example.

But the most important reward is the eternal reward which God promises to every faithful leader. When Christ returns, he will say to his faithful leaders, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'” (Matthew 25:23).

If you are a preacher, elder, or deacon in your church, this Bible Study is especially for you. Of course, you might have another leadership role in your church (such as leading a prayer or a singing group), or you might just want to learn what leadership in a church should look like. In the world, leaders are often people who use and abuse other people. They are the people who have the most power and the most money. But Jesus Christ told his disciples: “Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all” (Mark 10:43-44).

In this Bible Study you will learn about the different things that a Christian leader must be and the different things that a Christian leader must do.

Be a patient shepherd for God’s sheep, the church.

Be a courageous soldier who deals with challenges without fear.

Lesson 7:
Be an honest steward of your own money and the money of the church.

Lesson 8:
Be a wise communicator who brings God’s message clearly and who listens to others.

Lesson 9:
Be a careful timekeeper who does not waste time, but uses it to God’s glory.

Lesson 10:
Be an ongoing organiser who prays and plans.

Learning outcomes

When you have completed this Bible Study, you should:
View a Christian leader as a humble servant of God and God’s people.
Understand that a Christian leader should be both a patient shepherd and a courageous soldier.

KODI IMFA YA YESU KHRISTU INAKUPINDULIRANI CHANI?

Pamene dziko lonse lapansi likukumbukira imfa ya Ambuye wathu Yesu Khristu, ndizofunikanso kuti munthu aliyense adzifunsa chomwe imfayi inapindula pamoyo wake. Osamangoti Yesu anandifera chonsecho sunapereke moyo kwa Yesu. Imfa ya Yesu ndi yaphindu kwa iwo amene anapereka miyoyo yawo kwa Yesu.
Ndimafuna mudzifunse kuti mudzakhala mukukumbukira imfa yomwe sinakupindulireni kwa nthawi yayitali bwanji?

Lero likhoza kukhala tsiku labwino kuti mupange ubale ndi Yesu kuti mudzisangalala moyenera.

"Ndipo mmodzi wa ocita zoipa anapacikidwawo anamcitira Iye mwano nanena, Kodi suli Khristu Iwe? udzipulumutse wekha ndi ife.
Koma winayo anayankha iye, nati, Kodi suopa Mulungu, poona uli m'kulangika komweku?
Ndipo ifetu kuyenera; pakuti tilikulandira zoyenera zimene tinachita; koma munthu sanachita kanthu kolakwa.
Ndipo ananena, Yesu, ndikumbukireni m'mene mulowa mu Umfumu wanu.
Ndipo Iye ananena naye, Indetu, ndunena ndi iwe, Lero lino udzakhala ndine m'paradaiso." Luka 23:39-43

Chipulumutso sichimakhala kutali ndi ife. Baibulo limatsimikiza kuti Chipulumutso chili pakamwa pathu. Tawerenge nkhani ya anthu awiri omwe onse anachite zosayenera zochuluka pamoyo wawo wa tsiku ndi tsiku. Anali zigawenga. Ndipo zonse zinali pantanda pamodzi ndi Yesu. Ndipo wina sanazindikire kufunika kwa Yesu pamoyo wake ndipo anayamba kumuchitira mwano. Koma wina anazindikira kuti yakwana nthawi yoti apereke moyo wake kwa Yesu ndipo sanachedwe anamupempha Ambuye kuti amukonze.

Ambiri amafunsa kuti analapaq chotani? Choyambirira anavomereza machimo ake. Akuyankhula pavesi 41 kuti tikulandira zoyenera malinga ndi ntchito zathu. Mulungu amafuna anthu omwe amavomereza machimo.
Chachiwiri, akupereka moyo wake kwa Ambuye. Iye akuti mundikumbukire mene mulowa mu Umfumu wanu. Ndipo chifukwa choti wavomereza ndi pakamwa pake, Mulungu akumulonjeza kuti akakhala naye muparadaiso.. Akulandira paradaiso chifukwa akuvomereza ali ndi moyo.

Okondwedwa ngati mukufuna kupulumuka mukuyenera kuvomereza muli ndi Moyo. Musadikire mawa chifukwa mwina mawa mukhoza kukhala mochedwa. Mulungu akudikira kuti Moyo wanu muupereke lero chifukwa mwina mawa mumwalira Kodi udzatani mulandu?

Ngati mukufuna kupereka moyo wanu kwa Yesu pempherani pemphero ili:
Ambuye Yesu zikomo chifukwa munandifera pantanda. Zikomo chifukwa chofunitsitsa kuti mundiolombole ndi mwazi wanu. Moyo wanga wakhala wotayika kwa nthawi yayitali ndipo lero ndikufuna mundikonze. Ndikufuna imfa yanu ikhale yaphindu pamoyo wanga. Mundikhululukire zochimwa zanga. Mufufute dzina langa mubuku la anthu akufa ndi kulilemba mubuku lamoyo. Mundithandize kuti ndisabwererenso kwa satana koma ndiyende nanu nthawi zonse. Mudzina lanu Yesu ndapemphera, Amen.

Munthu aliyense amene samapemphera muMzimu ndi muChoonadi alibe chawo mu umfumu wa Mulungu. Mpingo wa Mulungu simumapezeka anthu amene ali muthupi ayi chifukwa aliyense yemwe ali muthupi sangakondweretse Ambuye.

Chonde tisalore kuti anthu atichedwetse ndi ziphunzitso za mpingo chifukwa mpingo wathuwo Mulungu samaudziwa. Ndizopweteka komanso zowawa munthu kumwalira uli wokhulupirika pamoso pa mpingo koma kukafika kumwamba ndikukakuuza kuti samakudzidwa. Chonsecho muli padziko munatamika kuti mpingo wanu ndiwo woona.
Ndimava kuwawa kwambiri ndikaona anthu akulalikirana mpingo malo molalikira Yesu. Kumataya nthawi kuwadziwitsa anthu kuti mpingo wanu ndiwo wabwino malo mowauza anthu kuti alandire Yesu.
Lalikirani Yesu, Phunzitsani Yesu ndipo mphoto yanu ndiyayikulu kumwamba.
