This photo represents two things I (Kristen) never imagined.
One: Becoming a mom to these amazing boys through adoption. Two: Writing a book on how my life is turning out nothing like I imagined, but how God is faithful through it all.
If you had asked me 10 years ago what the next decade of my life would look like, it wouldn’t have looked like this photo.
But God knew. He always knew.
Her knew about the miscarriages, the infertility, the doctor’s visits, the heartache, the loss, the pain, the disappointment, the unexpected adoption journey, two little boys from Ukraine, and everything else in between.
He always knew. He was writing my story from the beginning. He has always been faithful. And as I’ve learned to surrender the paintbrush of my story to the Master Artist, He is showing me that there is incredible beauty in every stroke. 🖌
The valleys and losses have been extremely hard…but they have taught me what it means to fully trust God and anchor my hope in Him alone.
The unexpected twists and turns have been difficult, but they’ve taught me the true meaning of surrender and peace.
The last decade has taught me that joy doesn’t come from getting the life I always imagined, but from trusting God with the life He has for me, and believing that His plans truly are better. Because they are. 😌
Wherever you’re at in your own journey right now, I want you to know that God sees you, loves you, and is with you in the midst of your story.
He is painting a masterpiece for your ultimate good and His ultimate glory.
