Canadians Can Now Renew Passports Online 🇨🇦

Canada has officially opened online passport renewal for eligible Canadians. The process is designed for simple renewals and is currently limited to a certain number of applications each day. 

Summary -

✔ You may qualify if:

* You currently have a regular blue Canadian passport
* Your passport was issued within the last 15 years
* You were age 16 or older when it was issued
* Your passport expires within 6 months OR is already expired
* Your home and mailing address are in Canada
* Your information is staying exactly the same
(same name, birth date, gender, etc.)

Important Things to Know

* Your passport is cancelled once you submit the online renewal ⛔️
* Processing can take about 20 business days plus mailing time 📪
* If you travel soon, apply in person instead ⚠️
* You need a DIGITAL passport photo from a professional photographer 📷
* Only standard blue passports qualify online right now 💙

Helpful Reminder

Many countries require your passport to still be valid for 6 months after travel dates. Canadians should check expiry dates early before booking travel.
