The idea for Disc Course Media was founded under the assumption that most of the courses needed funding to build and maintain a local course so that people that played would have a great experience while enjoying a fantastic game. When first introduced to the game in my local area by friends, it was apparent right away that players loved the sport, but the course was unknown unless someone introdu
ced you to it, and the course itself although cool, was really in sad shape. Sadly the course closed a year later for lack of funding for maintenance and thousands of people who where getting out for some fun and exercise are no longer playing in the city. The course as many are, was free to play but lacked basic things that one would consider essential to a golf course. Things such as Tee Signs, Tee mats, scorecards, a course map, and bathrooms where not available. The course did thankfully have proper Poleholes which sadly many courses lack because they are quote 'expensive'. Disc Course Media believes that all the courses should have great facilities and funding for maintenance and that the sport will grow faster and have more recognition when the facilities are setup with the needed funds to make it so.
