La Mtra. Layla Wright Contreras trae al equipo una experiencia de más de quince años en el desarrollo de planes de comunicación/marketing y de recaudación de fondos, atado a una clara planeación estratégica, para ONGs en EE.UU y México. Cuenta con una Licenciatura en Comunicación de la Northern Michigan University y una Maestría en Administración de la Universidad de Guanajuato. Actualmente funge

como Vice Presidente de Membresía del Club Rotario del Medío Día en San Miguel de Allende, Gto. y participa en la Red de Comunicación y Cultura del Agua del Noreste de Guanajuato. Mauricio Sánchez Osornio, socio fundador, tiene 6 años de experiencia en gestión de proyectos comunitarios, destacándose en acciones de comunicación y educación ambiental asi como en trabajos de restauración de suelos y vegetación nativa, manejo de ecotecnias, derechos de la infancia y genero. Actualmente está al frente del Centro Regional de Capacitación del Agua en la comunidad de Las Yerbas Dolores Hidalgo, encabeza la presidencia de la Red de Comunicación y Cultura del Agua del Noreste de Guanajuato y además coordina un grupo de trabajo ciudadano para la observación y gestoría ciudadana en temas relacionados al recurso hídrico de la sub cuenca del Alto Rio Laja perteneciente a la cuenca Lerma Chapala (Observatorio Ciudadano del Agua, Consejo Consultivo A.C. programa de las Naciones Unidas “Habitat”.). Así mismo se colabora con una red de asesores y profesionales para obtener los resultados de manera eficiente y profesional, de acuerdo a las necesidades de cada cliente.

President and Founder, Layla Wright Contreras, B.S., M.B.A., brings more than 15 years experience of the development of communication/marketing plans and fundraising to the team, dedicated to clear strategic planning for NGOS in the USA and Mexico. She is currently serving as vice-president for membership of the Rotary Midday Club in San Miguel de Allende, Gto. and is incoming president for the North-East Guanajuato Water Culture & Communication Network. Ms. Wright Contreras has a Bachelors of Science Degrees in Broadcasting and International Studies from the University of Northern Michigan. She finalized her MBA through the University of Guanajuato, focusing on how to make non-profit organizations sustainable through appropriate visibility and fundraising, according to their needs. She has experience working with a range of non-profit organizations, and their funded projects, including WETA (PBS flagship station for PBS), Reading is Fundamental (RIF), Inc., and Pro-Literacy, among others; government organizations like the US-Forest Services, Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC), National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Department of Energy (DOE), US Department of Agriculture (USDA), among others; cause-marketing campaigns such as Book a Brighter Future (RIF/Macy’s), Read with Kids Challenge (RIF/U.S. Airways), and other sponsors such as as Mazda Foundation, Colgate-Palmolive, Capital One, WNBA with Pitney Bowes, Dollar General (including Hispanic focus), Meadows Foundation, BNSF Foundation, and the Daniels Fund. Wright-Contreras has attended all the basic training courses on Fundraising and Proposal Development from the Foundation Center (in Washington, D.C.). Aside from experience garnered in the U.S., upon moving to Mexico (2012) she leveraged a $24,000 USD grant from the Genographic Legacy Fund of the National Geographic Society for the Fundación de Apoyo Infantil Guanajuato, A.C. where she served as Director of Operations and Fundraising. Other grants written and managed include those from: SEMARNAT, CDI (Comisión Nacional para el Desarrollo de los Pueblos Indígenas), INMUJERES, Secretaría de Salud, Departamento de Ecología de San Miguel de Allende; private foundations such as Fundación Gonzalo Río Arronte, Fundación Beteta, Fundación Rincón, among others. Founding partner Mauricio Sánchez Osornio has 6 years of experience in managing community projects, dedicating himself to communication actions and environmental education, such as in soil and native vegetation restoration, management of eco-techniques, infant and gender rights. Currently he is charge of the Regional Centre of Training in Water in the community of Las Yerbas, Dolores Hidalgo, he heads the presidency of the Communication Network of Water in the North-East of Guanajuato and in addition he coordinates a group of citizens for water observation and management, in themes related to hydrological resources in the sub-basin of the High River Laja, which belongs to the Lerma Chapala watershed (Citizens’ Observatory for Water and Sanitation, Consulting Board A.C. Habitat program of the United Nations).
