Tuvimos la oportunidad de asistir a la 82ª Asamblea Anual de la CAINTRA, un espacio clave donde coincidimos con líderes de la industria, sector público, academia y sociedad civil que impulsan el crecimiento económico de nuestra región. 🏭

Durante el evento, se abordaron temas clave como el panorama económico de México, la competitividad industrial y el papel del nearshoring en el desarrollo regional, destacando la importancia de fortalecer cadenas de suministro, impulsar la inversión, fomentar la innovación y reforzar la colaboración entre sectores.

La Asamblea contó con la participación de Andrés Oppenheimer, periodista, escritor y conferencista magistral de esta edición. Asimismo, participaron Claudia Sheinbaum, presidenta de México, junto con otras voces clave del ámbito público y privado. 🤝

Como una de las plataformas más relevantes para la comunidad industrial, este encuentro permitió alinear prioridades, compartir perspectivas sobre tendencias globales y trazar el camino para el fortalecimiento del sector manufacturero en México. 🚀

We had the privilege of co-hosting an exclusive dinner in Monterrey as part of the official visit of a delegation of more than 30 representatives from Bavaria’s public and private sectors. 🇩🇪🇲🇽

The evening convened key stakeholders from both regions to exchange perspectives on Monterrey’s investment landscape and the broader opportunities for collaboration. During the session, Invest Monterrey presented the state’s competitive advantages, highlighting its strategic location, highly skilled talent, strong industrial base, and business-friendly environment. Senior representatives from , , , , and also contributed valuable insights on Mexico’s competitive positioning and the factors that make Monterrey a leading destination for international business.

The delegation was led by Dr. Martin Schlotter, Head of Unit for External Economic Relations at the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, and included Wolfgang Hauber and Stephanie Schuknecht, Members of the Bavarian State Parliament.

This engagement reflects the strengthening economic ties between Bavaria and Nuevo León, as well as the growing interest in Monterrey as a strategic hub for global investment and collaboration. 🚀

Japanese companies are actively seeking to expand their industrial presence in Monterrey, leveraging the region’s strong manufacturing base, skilled workforce, and strategic location. 🇯🇵🏭

During incMTY 2026, Japan’s Ambassador to Mexico, Kozo Honsei, highlighted the growing interest among Japanese firms in consolidating and expanding operations in the state, particularly in sectors such as automotive and advanced manufacturing.

Today, more than 100 Japanese companies operate in Monterrey and surrounding areas, positioning the region as one of the leading hubs for Japanese investment in Mexico.

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen economic ties, state authorities are expected to carry out a working tour in Japan to promote new investment opportunities and foster stronger commercial partnerships between both regions. 🌎

Invest Monterrey estuvo presente en “Décimos NL 2026”, la sesión plenaria del Consejo Nuevo León, un espacio clave para dar seguimiento a la visión estratégica de largo plazo del estado. 🚀

Durante la sesión, se presentaron avances, prioridades y líneas de acción del Plan Estratégico Nuevo León 2040, abordando temas clave para la competitividad, el desarrollo sostenible y el crecimiento económico de la región.

El encuentro reunió a líderes del sector público, privado, académico y de la sociedad civil, reafirmando la importancia de la colaboración multisectorial para impulsar el desarrollo del estado. 🤝

The Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Mexico held a meeting in Monterrey, bringing together nearly 70 representatives from more than 40 companies, primarily Japanese firms operating in Mexico. About half of the participating companies are based in Monterrey, reflecting the strong presence of Japanese investment in the region. 🇯🇵🏭

The agenda addressed key topics related to the local business environment, including public security conditions, corporate security practices among member companies, and visa procedures in the Monterrey region.

Opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Nakamura, Director of the Chamber’s Nuevo León office, and Mr. Okubo, organizer of the meeting. Presentations were also delivered by Mr. Hirasawa, President of the Public Security Affairs Committee, and Mr. Nozaki of Takimoto Cortina Farell y Asociados, who shared insights on visa procedures for companies operating in the region.

As part of the program, Héctor Tijerina, Executive Director of Invest Monterrey, presented “Nuevo León: A Strategic Outlook on Growth and Recent Landmark Investments.” 📊

The meeting served as a platform for dialogue and collaboration, underscoring the growing role of Monterrey as a key destination for Japanese investment and industrial development in Mexico. 🇯🇵🏭

VEMO announced an investment of approximately $48 million to expand its electromobility infrastructure in Monterrey during 2026.
