Heather Loebner has joined AIT Worldwide Logistics as senior vice president, global sustainability.

With 30 years of leadership experience across multiple sectors, most recently as vice president, sustainability/ESG, North America, for Kuehne+Nagel, Heather will connect sustainability with commercial growth and customer needs. Her priorities include customer decarbonization solutions, customer-facing and internal recycling strategies, and accurate, transparent data methodologies to measure and report progress.

In this corporate leadership role, she will build and lead AIT’s global environmental, social, and governance organization and advance the company’s goal to achieve net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2035.

AIT has finalized an agreement to acquire Connor Anderson International, a Sydney-based freight forwarder that provides sea, air and road transport, customs brokerage, warehousing and project cargo management.

The deal extends AIT's global footprint to Oceania and strengthens logistics support for a broad range of industries, including specialized services for technology shippers.

In a recent effort, teammates from our Prague station partnered with Fakultní Thomayerova nemocnice, one of the Czech Republic's largest healthcare facilities.

Participants spent three hours decorating canvas bags, painting stones, customizing document holders, and assembling care packages filled with coloring books, toys and sweets to brighten the day of children receiving care. A few knots, thoughtful notes and a shared commitment to giving back.

Teammates across North America recently put their crafting skills to work as part of a regionwide event. During volunteer shifts, they made almost 2,000 macramé keychain wristlets, packed treats and activities, and wrote personal messages of encouragement for people undergoing cancer treatment.

The effort supported Corporate Angel Network, Inc., which arranges free flights for cancer patients traveling for treatment, and Project Helping, which makes volunteering accessible through programs like Kynd Kits.

Connection, conversation and shared experiences were at the heart of a recent AIT Cares initiative in Monterrey, Mexico.

Through the company’s paid volunteer hours program, teammates spent five hours at Casa de Retiro Luis Elizondo, a residence providing comprehensive care for senior citizens in the community. The visit included a donation to the organization and activities including lotería (Mexican bingo), music, refreshments and social time with residents.

As part of AIT's paid volunteer hours program, , teammates from the Chicago area recently supported CEL - Center for Enriched Living's annual golf tournament, presented by AIT.

CEL provides social, recreational and educational programs, employment support and life-skills opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. Volunteers assisted with guest check-in, welcomed golfers, helped facilitate activities on the course, distributed event materials, and supported on-site event logistics.

Back-to-school season is here, and AIT volunteers recently lent a helping hand.

As part of an AIT Cares event, nearly 250 teammates, including summer interns, partnered with Cradles to Crayons Chicago at AIT's global headquarters and the AIT-Chicago station to fill 8,000 backpacks with school supplies for students in the community.

All supplies were donated by the company. Teammates contributed a combined 308 volunteer hours, packing approximately 2,000 backpacks per shift, and helping to equip local students with the tools for a successful school year.

Moments of connection can make a lasting difference.

Recently, eight AIT-Tijuana volunteers in Mexico spent five hours with residents of Fundación Alzheimer Casa Belén BC, an organization dedicated to caring for people living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

Using AIT's paid volunteer hours program, , team members participated in games and activities with residents, helping bring companionship and engagement to their day. The team also made a donation to support the purchase of supplies and medications needed to provide ongoing care and support.
