REMEMBERING ARMISTICE DAY IN THE FIRST WORLD WAR.

Today, November 11th, the Republic of Serbia observes a national holiday in solemn remembrance of Armistice Day in the First World War.

This date marks the signing of the armistice that ended hostilities on the Western Front in 1918.

For Serbia, it is a day to honor the immense sacrifices made by millions of soldiers and civilians during one of the darkest periods in history.

The national emblem for this day is the Natalie's ramonda flower, a "phoenix-flower" that symbolizes the suffering, fall, and eventual resurrection of the Serbian state and army after the conflict.

The Consulate of the Republic of Serbia in Kuala Lumpur pays tribute to the heroes who fought for freedom and peace.

We wish everyone observing this important day a moment of reflection and peace.

We remember their sacrifice. We honor their memory.
