A Mid-Autumn gift box, told through the visual language of Macau. 🥮

For this Mid-Autumn packaging project, we wanted the design to feel festive without falling into the usual festive formula.

So instead of starting with the moon, lanterns or rabbits, we looked closer to home: Macau itself.

The visual system draws from the city’s familiar cultural details, from Portuguese-inspired tile patterns and architectural linework to traditional Chinese window motifs and swallows.

Each element comes from a different part of Macau’s visual identity, brought together through a warm palette of red, gold and ivory.

The result is a gift box that feels unmistakably Mid-Autumn, but unmistakably Macau too.

PART 02｜Building an IP-Led Packaging System

The design goes beyond simply placing a Disney character on a box.

We developed the packaging around strong character-led compositions, bold typography and clear product communication, creating a visual system that can work across different products and flavours.

From Mickey & Friends to other Disney characters, each variation keeps its own personality while staying recognisably part of the same SmartHealth family.

The result is a packaging system that makes health feel more familiar, more playful, and a little more exciting for kids.

What if taking care of your health could feel a little more fun?

For SmartHealth, we developed a children’s supplement packaging system that brings together health, playfulness and familiar Disney characters.

The challenge was to create packaging that speaks to both sides of the shelf:
something children are drawn to, and something parents feel confident choosing.

By bringing Mickey & Friends into the visual language, we transformed a functional health product into something more approachable, colourful and engaging for everyday use.

Because for kids, healthy habits don’t always have to feel serious.

Then We Gave The Packaging A Character Of Its Own.

A cost-conscious packaging system doesn’t have to look generic.

For Paw Nutri, we wanted the packaging to feel warm, friendly and instantly connected to pets.

So alongside the packaging design, we developed a set of custom animal illustrations and mascot-style IP for the brand.

The cat and dog became more than decorative elements. They gave the packaging a recognisable visual language that could extend across different products and touchpoints.

From the box to the individual sachet, the same characters help keep the brand visually connected.

The result is a packaging system that is:

Simple to produce.
Easy to expand.
And unmistakably Paw Nutri.

Good packaging isn’t about how much you spend on it.

It’s about how well the design works for the business.

Good Packaging Doesn’t Always Mean Spending More.

For a startup, every packaging decision comes with a cost. More variations mean more packaging SKUs, more inventory to manage, and more space to store them.

So instead of designing a different box for every product, we took a simpler approach.

We created a flexible packaging system built around product labels.

The box stays the same.
The label changes.

That means when Paw Nutri introduces a new flavour or product variation, they don‘t need to produce and store an entirely new box.

Just change the label. It keeps the packaging consistent, while giving the brand more room to grow without unnecessarily increasing production and storage costs.

Because when you’re building a new brand, your budget is better spent on what‘s inside the box.
