The outside still looks good… but the leather inside is falling apart.
This is one of those problems that many luxury bag owners don't notice until it gets really bad.
The leather may start to:
❌Peel and flake
❌Become sticky
❌Crack around the edges
❌Powder or crumble
❌Lose its original structure
And then comes the question:
“Can this still be repaired?”
Sometimes, yes.
But when the leather itself has deteriorated, simply repainting or covering the damaged surface isn't always the right solution.
For this restoration, we chose to replace the damaged leather completely.
The process involves:
Disassembly → Pattern making → New leather preparation → Hand finishing → Reassembly
Every little detail matters.
The thickness of the leather, the shape of each panel, the edges, stitching position and how everything fits back together can all affect the final result.
At CAABA boutique, the work is handled in our own in-house leather workshop, where we focus on the details instead of taking a quick shortcut.
Because sometimes a bag doesn't need to be replaced.
It just needs the right restoration approach.

名牌包里面的皮革开始掉皮、黏黏的？先别急着丢。
有些名牌包，外观看起来还好好的，
打开里面却已经开始：
❌ 皮革脱皮
❌ 表面粉化、掉屑
❌ 摸起来黏黏的
❌ 边缘老化、开裂
❌ 越用越严重
很多人第一反应都是：
「这种还能修吗？」
其实，要看损坏程度。
如果只是表面轻微磨损，可以做修复；
但如果皮革本身已经严重老化、脱皮，继续补漆、补皮，效果往往维持不了多久。
像这次的案例，我们选择的是：
拆解 → 重新打版 → 制作 → 更换全新皮革 → 重新组装
不是简单地在旧皮上盖一层颜色。
因为内部结构、厚度、边缘处理、车线位置，这些细节都会影响最后装回去的效果。
我们自己的皮革工作室会根据原本的结构慢慢处理，
该薄的地方薄、该保留弧度的地方保留，
尽量让新换上的皮革与原来的包型自然衔接。
名牌包最怕的不是旧，
而是已经坏了，却用不适合的方法继续处理。
