Side table

This project was my first time used natural woods in making a table. Honestly it was a bit unpredictable as the natural woods comes with some bending and weird shape, so using it to make things cannot be too ocd. haha

So there were some dried sticks that my mum used for something last time and I've reused it as a side table leg. Actually I wanna make the table top using them as well but it wasn't enough. So i mixed it with some finger joint wood strips to do it. The leg part I've used half lap joint so that it will be more sturdy.

After painted with PU paint and it looks not bad. lol. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the outcome.

Once you get older time seems to fly by faster. LOL! My last post was on May!! Anyway, here was some of the things I did recently.

DIY table lamp.

Found a broken solar lamp that was broken long ago and after checked, I've only harvested the LED light. So why don't I change it to a table lamp that powered by power bank? YES! let's do it!

So first I've used some remaining block board for the body and a 1"X2" wood strip as the pole. Cut them in the measurement and screws them together. I've also used existing clip mechanism from the solar lamp to hold the LED light then found a broken phone charging cable, cut the, and solder it to the positive and negative terminal of the LED then done. Simple and easy. haha.

Lastly I've used bee wax to coat the wood and done.

It works well and you can get a weaker power bank that laying around in the house for it because LED does not take up much battery power.

MY NEW TOY!!

Recently I bought a basketball hoop. But it's unstable and it's for kids!!! Aidi.... why like that.... So I've made it myself!!

It took me quite some time to do it but it ends up well!!

Now I can play basketball at home!! YEAH!! hehe.

Rack for Microwave

Recently my boss bought quite a lot of kitchen equipment. So in order to can group them together so I've decided to make a simple rack to put the rice cooker, air fryer and microwave together.

Actually it's quite simple. Need 4 wood strips and 2 blockboard, cut into the size and screwed them together. Finishing using PU paint and job done!!

It looks nice and meet it's purpose.

Chair Restoration

At my workplace there is a PC chair that the sit broken. So I took home and repair it.

So I checked the wheels and the body was fine but only the sit broken. For this project I've used blockboard as it's more study than plywood. As for the sponge, I've reused cushion last time and the cloth I've used the 1 that took out from broken sofa. After cut out the shape, glued on the blockboard and cover using sofa cloth, once assembled together and job done.

The end result functioning well and meet it's purpose.

Doll House

That day I got a request from a friend that ask me if I can make a plain doll house. I've never did it before but this was a CHALLENGE!! Let's do it!!

So after meet up and get the accurate measurements then it's time to let the show on the road! First I've used plywood 1.2mm thickness as the bones of the structure and back cover used 5mm plywood. It was a 3 layer design with the roof. My friend requested windows at the door and it can be opened like a cabinet and small door for each level.

After taking sometime to try it out and assemble the parts, the end product was stunning! I never know I managed to pull this out and my friend is happy with it (Thank God)

Pot Cover Holder

Home that been stayed for long period of time memang ada banyak pot cover right? hehe. We might throwed away the pot but the cover was still useful. Same at my house!! Lol. So this project was created.

Actually this was quite simple. The 1 that need to take note was to cut the wooden stick at 30 degrees and make sure all the same. Used some time to sand and make the edge round then finishing by using PU paint.

Outcome quite nice and meet it's purpose.

Wall mounted rack for keys.

Recently doing some project to upgrade the things in my house. One of them was a wall mounted rack for keys.

Actually this was quite simple. Cut the block board to the size needed and screws them together. The more interesting part is the mini gate for the rack. Drill hole with fix range and I've used wood dowels as the gate. The outcome was not bad and worth a try.

The finishing I've used PU and the end product was nice!
