Bagi memastikan pengurusan bekalan tenaga negara kekal mampan dan stabil, Kerajaan giat merancang untuk mengintegrasikan Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) ke dalam projek Solar Berskala Besar (LSS). Inisiatif ini dijangka akan diperluaskan, terutamanya bagi projek akan datang seperti LSS 6, demi mengatasi sifat tenaga boleh baharu yang sekejap-sekejap (intermittency). Langkah strategik ini penting bagi menyokong sasaran TBB yang lebih tinggi di bawah NETR.

A research group led by Switzerland's University of Applied Sciences (SUPSI) has carried out a long-term analysis of six south-facing, grid-connected PV systems installed in Switzerland in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The researchers found that the systems’ annual power loss rates averaged 0.16% to 0.24%, significantly lower than the 0.75% to 1% per year commonly reported in the literature.

The high-end material polyolefin elastomer (POE), known as “industrial gold,” has achieved large-scale production using the gas-phase method at Dushanzi Petrochemical in Xinjiang, a breakthrough that effectively alleviates China’s reliance on imports for the material needed in emerging industries such as photovoltaics.

The POE produced achieves a light transmittance of over 90%. When made into photovoltaic encapsulant films, the material can maximize the power generation efficiency of solar modules. In addition, its weather resistance and water v***r barrier properties effectively protect the internal circuits of the modules, extending the service life of photovoltaic panels from 25 years to more than 30 years.
