Social Media Tasks are Team Work, not Individual Position.
We know you are looking into cutting cost for your company by hiring 10 in 1 kind of job scope for Social Media position. However, be realistic! You are actually killing your BRAND.
*Content Writer* – Understand the term, content writer and copywriter are two different job scope. One can write flawlessly in a piece of web or print ARTICLE but does not mean that person can do CREATIVE tagline of CREATIVE copywriting.
*Designer* – If you are not from creative agency, you might not even understand what print designer is and what digital designer is. Let alone, you expect designer to creative tagline on artwork? You gotta be kidding. They went thru years of university on creative and concept design, not WRITING. If you want experience designer, Malaysia back to 10 years ago doesn’t have the course called COMMUNICATION DESIGN. Therefore, some might not be able to work independently crafting a design that can speak for the brand.
*Content Strategist* – HA! They are the one to go to when you do not know what to post! They will create the content for all your social media posting on all platforms according to your marketing needs , campaign and etc. This PERSON make sure your content is speaking on behalf of your brand and make all the right engagement needed on each posting.
*Social media Exe/mgr* – Ugh! This person right, is the one who plan all the planning lah. Where the content should go, which content should go first. How the brand content should work on which platform. Which content you will need on publishing to which platforms. The entire marketing planning and budget. Oh yes, how much to spend on ads too!
*Digital Marketing Exe* – These people will sit down and explain from A to Z about backend ads! They dealt with numbers. You practically can’t ask a writer to set up your google ads, what can they do is give you the best and creative tagline for your SEM/SEO. We believe not all designer can tell you that they are able to sit down behind facebook backend for hours by setting 101 campaigns for boosting.
To understand what your company do really needs in term of the social media segment, there are a lot of us FREELANCERS out there who able to deliver the job perfectly with proven results. Some are able to do Content Writing + Strategy or some even can do Design + Content.
There are so much someone can do in this industry as all of us require to spend a certain amount of time daily to keep ourselves upgrade. Content Strategist is often the first one to update client or bosses on the update of ALL social media platforms. Changes in design sizes of platforms or etc.
