Johor Bahru, 24 February 2026 – The Advisory Board members of the Johor–Indonesia Business Chamber (JIBC), attended a warm and meaningful Buka Puasa fellowship hosted by Dr. Dilion Yeap with the distinguished presence of His Excellency, Sigit Surdiyanto, Consul General of Indonesia for Johor Bahru.

The gathering was held at Fix Banana Leaf, a cozy dining venue located within Mid Valley Mall, Johor Bahru.

The evening provided an excellent opportunity for members and guests to strengthen friendships and enhance mutual understanding in a relaxed and cordial atmosphere.

Guests enjoyed a delicious buka puasa buffet featuring innovative and flavorful dishes. The restaurant offered a pleasant dining environment with reasonable pricing, making it an ideal venue for group gatherings and private dining events.

Beyond the excellent cuisine, the evening was marked by warm fellowship and meaningful exchanges of experiences among Advisory Board members and guests, further reinforcing the spirit of cooperation and friendship between Johor and Indonesia.

JOHOR BAHRU, 14 July 2025 – The Johor-Indonesia Business Chamber (JIBC) proudly marked its first anniversary, bringing together its Executive Committee, Advisory Council, and key stakeholders to commemorate a year of growth, collaboration, and cross-border achievement.

Since its inception in 2024, JIBC has served as a strategic platform fostering bilateral trade, investment opportunities, and economic collaboration between Johor and Indonesia. The anniversary celebration reflected a year of impactful programs, business networking events, trade visits, and policy dialogues that strengthened economic ties between the two regions.

JIBC President, Sr. Samuel Tan highlighted several milestones from the past year, including:

+ Strategic business engagements and roundtables with Indonesian stakeholders,

+ Participation in bilateral trade forums and investment expos,

+ Hosting inbound delegations and promoting Johor as a regional hub for Indonesian investors.

“Over the past year, JIBC has grown from a vision into a vibrant business community. The strong support from our members, partners, and advisors has been the driving force behind our achievements,” said Samuel Tan.

Meanwhile, Rumi Amjed JIBC's Deputy President shared the Chamber’s roadmap for Year 2, which includes:

+ Organising sector-specific trade missions,

+ Establishing a Johor–Indonesia Business & Investment Dialogue Series,

+ Deepening partnerships with chambers, government agencies, and private sector leaders on both sides.

The Advisory Council members at the celebration shared feedback and ideas on enhancing JIBC’s impact and expanding its reach to benefit both Johorean and Indonesian business communities.

As JIBC enters its second year, it remains committed to fostering deeper bilateral ties, supporting entrepreneurship, and driving sustainable economic collaboration between Johor and Indonesia.
