WORKPLACE SAFETY ALERT
Johor Bahru, 24 January 2026 – The Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH/JKKP) Johor has confirmed a fatal incident involving a tower crane operator at a condominium construction project on Jalan Seri Austin.

This incident serves as a serious reminder that compliance with DOSH/JKKP regulations is mandatory, not optional.

🔹 Why compliance matters:

Protects the lives of workers on site

Prevents fines, legal action, and project delays.

Maintains company credibility and professionalism.

Employers are responsible for ensuring proper SOPs, training, and safety supervision are in place. Failure to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 may result in fines of up to RM500,000, imprisonment of up to 2 years, or both.
