Sani Ferry is seeking a highly competent and experienced maritime professional to join our team as Designated Person Ashore (DPA) for our passenger vessel operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the companyโs Safety Management System while managing shore-based operational, technical, and regulatory matters related to overall vessel management.
Key Responsibilities:
โข Ensure effective implementation and continuous compliance of the Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with ISM Code
โข Serve as the primary link between vessel operations and shore-based management
โข Oversee vessel registration, certification renewals, statutory compliance, and liaison with relevant maritime authorities
โข Coordinate technical matters, maintenance planning, defect reporting, and corrective actions
โข Monitor audits, inspections, incident investigations, and follow-up actions
โข Provide operational and technical support to ensure safe and efficient passenger vessel operations
Requirements:
โข Relevant maritime qualification and industry experience
โข Strong knowledge of ISM Code, maritime regulations, and passenger vessel operations
โข Experience in ship management, vessel documentation, and technical coordination
โข Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
โข Ability to work independently and manage multiple operational priorities
