As we celebrate Malaysia’s 69th Merdeka, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced several immediate measures today to ease the burden on Malaysians and support businesses.

📌 E-Invoice Exemption Threshold Increased
The annual sales threshold has been raised from RM1 million to RM3 million.

➡️ Businesses with annual sales of RM3 million and below will be exempted from e-Invoice implementation, providing greater relief for SMEs and reducing compliance and administrative burdens.

💙 These are meaningful Merdeka announcements — providing relief for Micro Small Medium Enterprise businesses.
As Malaysians, may we continue to build a nation where economic growth translates into real benefits for the rakyat.

🚨 HASiL Clarifies Stamp Duty on Employment Contracts

HASiL has issued a clarification on the stamp duty treatment for employment contracts under the Stamp Act 1949.

Here’s what employers need to know 👇

💼 Monthly Salary ≤ RM3,000
✅ Falls under the Exemption category
✅ No stamping & endorsement required

💼 Monthly Salary > RM3,000
📌 Only the main employment contract / master contract needs to be stamped and endorsed.
📌 Supplementary documents relating to the same employment do not need separate stamping.

📄 Documents under General Exemption
⚠️ Endorsement is still required to confirm that the document and parties qualify for the exemption.
