MINDET Badminton Tournament 🏸

SOGDC, together with agencies under the Ministry of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transportation (MINDET), participated in the MINDET Badminton Tournament organised by Sabah Ports Authority on 8 August.

The event, graced by YB Datuk Ewon Benedick, Deputy Chief Minister III and Minister of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transportation, brought together agencies to strengthen relationships, foster teamwork and enhance collaboration.

On Monday, 3 August 2026, Mr. Mohd Azmir bin Ramli, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Sabah Oil & Gas Development Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (SOGDC), held a meeting with the Chief Minister of Sabah to discuss the latest developments and strategic matters relating to the Sipitang Oil & Gas Industrial Park (SOGIP), as well as matters relating to the company as a whole.

Sabah terus memperkukuh kedudukannya dalam industri minyak dan gas apabila Kerajaan Negeri dijangka memperoleh 40% bahagian menerusi projek Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) di Sabah, selain 20% penyertaan dalam lapangan minyak dan gas baharu di perairan Sandakan.

Perkembangan ini mencerminkan hasil kerjasama erat antara Kerajaan Negeri dan PETRONAS dalam memastikan kekayaan sumber negeri dapat dimanfaatkan demi kemajuan Sabah dan kesejahteraan rakyat.

Pada masa sama, Sabah terus menarik keyakinan pelabur melalui dasar mesra pelabur, di samping memperluaskan kawasan perindustrian seperti KKIP, SOGIP, POIC serta pembangunan industri berasaskan ekonomi biru.

Di Kalabakan, komitmen kerajaan diteruskan menerusi cadangan pembinaan Bandar Baharu Kalabakan, penambahbaikan infrastruktur jalan raya dan pembinaan pusat kuarantin, imigresen dan kastam (CIQ) ke arah pembangunan pesat dan seimbang selaras dengan aspirasi Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ).

CHAIRMAN OF SOGDC CONDUCTS WORKING VISIT TO THE ESTEEL ENTERPRISE SABAH SDN. BHD. PROJECT SITE AT SOGIP.

The Chairman of Sabah Oil & Gas Development Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (SOGDC), YB Datuk Ir. Shahelmey bin Yahya, conducted a working visit to the Esteel Enterprise Sabah Sdn. Bhd. project site at the Sipitang Oil & Gas Industrial Park (SOGIP) on 29 July 2026. He was accompanied by the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of SOGDC, Mr. Mohd Azmir bin Datuk Ramli, together with the SOGDC management team.

The visit aimed to review the overall progress of the project and receive the latest updates on its development. It also provided an opportunity for discussions with the Esteel management to better understand the project's current requirements and identify areas where SOGDC can facilitate and provide the necessary support to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.

SOGDC remains committed to serving as a strategic facilitator for investors in SOGIP by fostering close collaboration with industry stakeholders and supporting the successful delivery of high-impact investments that contribute to Sabah's economic growth and industrial development.
