The delegation was warmly received by SOGDC's Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (GMD/CEO), Tuan Mohd Azmir bin Datuk Ramli.

(SOGDC) held a stakeholder engagement session during its Board of Directors Meeting, featuring presentations and project updates from key strategic partners, PETRONAS (PFLNG 3 – ZLNG) ,Esteel Enterprise Sabah Sdn. Bhd and Sipitang Utilities Sdn. Bhd. (SUSB) – Gas-Fired Power Plant Project

The session provided valuable insights into the progress of major developments at the Sipitang Oil & Gas Industrial Park (SOGIP), reaffirming SOGDC’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships and supporting Sabah’s industrial and economic growth.

MINDET GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP 2026

11 October 2026 | Sutera Harbour Golf & Country Club, Kota Kinabalu

Team SOGDC & POIC proudly participated in the Golf Tournament held in conjunction with the Kementerian Pembangunan Perindustrian, Keusahawanan dan Pengangkutan (MINDET) Sports Competition 2026, organised by the Sabah Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO).

The tournament was officially kicked off by YB Datuk Jonnybone J. Kurum, Deputy Minister of MINDET, representing YB Datuk Ewon Benedick, Minister of MINDET. Also in attendance was YBhg. Datuk Thomas Logijin, Permanent Secretary of MINDET.

A special appreciation and heartfelt thanks to Sabah Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO) for organising such a successful and enjoyable golf tournament.

It was a wonderful day of sportsmanship, camaraderie and teamwork, bringing everyone together through the spirit of golf.

Sabah Oil & Gas Development Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (SOGDC), in collaboration with ZLNG and SOGIP Port, successfully hosted the collection phase for the PETRONAS Sabah & Labuan Coverall Upcycling Initiative 2026 at the SOGIP Site Office in Sipitang from 30 September to 1 October 2026.

Through the joint efforts of SOGDC personnel, contractors, and industry partners, a total of 1,704 used coveralls were successfully collected.

The collected materials will undergo a structured upcycling process to be repurposed into functional products, aligning with broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, waste reduction objectives, and community empowerment initiatives.

SOGDC extends its appreciation to all participating entities, contractors, and donors for their support in advancing sustainable practices within the industrial sector.

SOGDC Participates in Tier-2 Emergency Drill Briefing

SOGDC participated in the Tier-2 Emergency Drill Program Briefing (PCFSSB–SECSB–BOMBA) on 24 September 2026, together with representatives from SUSB, ZLNG and PCFSSB.

The session focused on preparations for the upcoming Tier-2 Emergency Drill on 15 October 2026, covering emergency response procedures, roles and responsibilities, communication, coordination and overall readiness.

The briefing reflects the continued commitment of all participating parties towards strengthening emergency preparedness, safety and effective coordination.
