Very good issue on education

One of the discussions around MOE's Desired Outcomes of Education is "Self Directed Learner", an outcome that is very challenging to implement and observe because of the many complex factors at work : family environment, spoonfeeding culture in schools, (lack of) personal motivation, curriculum's zone of proximal development, and the like.

While we, arts educators, cannot change the contexts outside our grasp, we can still curate material (eg. differentiated) to meet their multiple intelligences and engage them.
