What an energising session we had earlier this week with the Singapore-Malaysia digital, tech, and innovation community — having conversations around how we can build a more sustainable cross-border ecosystem together.

Congratulations to organiser, for bringing together such valuable expertise and experiences spanning New York, Singapore, Malaysia, Southeast Asia and NUS.

It was encouraging to see a diverse group of ecosystem leaders, innovators, educators, investors and enablers come together, alongside the wider SG-MY innovation community via Singapore Global Network ( ) and . Stellar SparX International was also pleased to support this initiative as one of the supporting partners and to host the community gathering at our space at our Bangsar South office.

We welcome opportunities to connect with ecosystem builders, innovators, investors, corporates, universities, government agencies, and innovation communities who are committed to strengthening meaningful innovation outcomes, advancing cross-border collaboration, and shaping a more sustainable cross-border innovation ecosystem.

We were delighted to host EXIM Bank Malaysia’s recent visit to our office, and it was wonderful for our team to connect and reconnect with Mr. Kah Jin Khoo and Mr. Danny Lee. It was especially meaningful to reflect on how the collaboration conversations started in 2024 have continued to grow the years. TQ Syafeeq Asyraf for connecting us years ago.

Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad (EXIM Bank) was incorporated on 29 August 1995 as a government-owned Development Financial Institution (DFI), tasked with delivering effective and solutions for cross-border ventures. Under the purview of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), EXIM Bank’s mandated role is to provide credit financing, export credit takaful and guarantee services and facilities to support exports, imports, overseas projects and investments, with emphasis on non-traditional markets. The bank recently became a subsidiary of Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad ( ), which is wholly owned by *F Inc. EXIM Bank supports a wide clientele across sectors including trading, manufacturing, infrastructure and agro-based businesses etc...while also collaborating with agencies such as MITI, MATRADE, MIDA and SME Corp Malaysia.

It was a privilege for our MD/CEO Ms. Esther Yap to meet with Datuk Dr Yeoh Oon Tean, Chief Executive Officer of FMM, together with Deputy Chief Executive Officers, Ms. Shamini Sakthinathan and Ms. Hema Thiruchelvam at the FMM office about a month ago.

Our team from , the event management services arm of Stellar SparX International, had the privilege of supporting The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing (FMM)'s recent New Manufacturing Summit at One World Hotel. Bringing together approximately 500 leaders, policymakers, innovators, and industry players, the summit created an important platform for conversations around innovation, sustainability, inclusion, and the future of Malaysia’s manufacturing sector.

A huge congratulations to FMM for organising such a successful and impactful summit. We were honoured to witness Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid, CEO of MIDA, officiate the event, and our team also had the privilege of meeting Mr Jacob Lee. We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations on his recent appointment as President of FMM. We are also especially grateful to Mr Ooi CK, Senior Manager, and the wider FMM team for the opportunity, trust, and collaboration.

“I wanted to send a quick note to say thank you. Your team did an absolutely fantastic job in the FMM New Manufacturing Summit yesterday. We were delighted to welcome En. Syafeeq Asyraf to our event space at Stellar SparX International recently.

It has truly been a privilege to collaborate with Asyraf on several initiatives over the past few years during his time as Executive Director of Canada Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia ( ). We would also like to extend our warmest congratulations to him on his new appointment as Regional Business Development Director at the Canada-ASEAN Business Council ( ).

We were equally honoured that our MD/CEO Ms. Esther Yap, recently had the opportunity to meet Canada Asean Business Council (CABC)’s Managing Director, Mr Anthony C., in Singapore.
We deeply appreciate the opportunity to connect with Mr Cheng, whose leadership will no doubt play an important role in advancing stronger business linkages and regional collaboration across ASEAN.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 — but those that are best at building future-ready talent, stronger partnerships and more inclusive leadership pipelines.

According to McKinsey, companies with more gender-diverse leadership teams are 25% more likely to outperform on profitability, while Deloitte reports that women still hold only 23.3% of board seats globally, with improvement of 28.3% in 2025.

Most importantly, this was not simply a courtesy visit. It marked the beginning of meaningful conversations around how corporates, businesses and NGOs can collaborate on women economic empowerment and women in leadership initiatives.
