Many managers say this:

“I already told my team many times…
why are they still repeating the same issue?”

But here’s the uncomfortable truth:

Telling is not the same as coaching.

Telling says:
“Do this.”

Coaching asks:
“What happened?”
“What did you notice?”
“What will you do differently next time?”

Telling gives instructions.

Coaching builds awareness.

Telling may solve the issue for today.

Coaching helps the person think better for tomorrow.

That is why some teams keep repeating the same mistakes.

Not because they cannot learn.

But because they were only told what to do…

not coached on how to think.

A strong manager does not just correct people.

A strong manager helps people grow.

One of the loneliest feelings as a business owner is this:

You built a team…
but somehow everything still comes back to you.

Not because your people are bad.

But because many people work with responsibility.
Very few work with ownership.

Responsibility waits to be told.

Ownership thinks ahead.

Responsibility avoids blame.

Ownership protects outcomes.

And this is why some business owners look “successful” outside…

But inside,
they are mentally exhausted.

Because carrying a company alone is heavy.

Not all heroes wear capes.
Some simply hold everything together with love, patience, and grace.

To every mother
thank you for the countless little things
that became the biggest part of our lives.

Happy Mother’s Day. 🌷

Some days are tiring.
Some days feel unnoticed.

But what you do, matters more than you think.

Keep going.
You are building something meaningful.

Happy Labour Day!

The longer you stay in business,
the more you realise that growth is not just about doing more, pushing harder, or moving faster.

It is also about recognising when your leadership and management approach need to evolve.

What works at one stage of business may not work at the next.
The way you lead in the early stage is different from the way you lead when the team grows, complexity increases, and the stakes become higher.

As the business changes,
the leader must change too.

That is why conversations like this matter.
Not because they offer quick answers,
but because they invite leaders to pause and reflect:

What does this stage of business require from me now?
What needs to become clearer?
What needs to become stronger?
What needs to change in the way I lead, manage, and make decisions?

Because sustainable growth does not happen by effort alone.
It requires leaders who are willing to adapt,
to think with greater clarity,
and to respond to each stage of growth with greater maturity and intention.

This Forum, to us,
was more than just a sharing session.
It was a timely reminder that as businesses grow,
leadership must grow with them too.

Because when the business enters a new stage,
the leader cannot keep leading in the old way.

As leaders, we often spend a lot of time trying to fix the team.

✅We improve SOPs
✅We adjust structures
✅We change people
✅We add more meetings
✅We tighten follow-up

But sometimes, after doing all that…

the same problems still come back.

Because not every business issue is operational.

Some problems come from the way leaders naturally think, communicate, trust, react, and make decisions.

A leader who avoids conflict may create unclear expectations.

🔥A leader who moves too fast may leave people behind.
🔥A leader who wants perfection may slow down ex*****on.
🔥A leader who cares too much may struggle to hold people accountable.

Sometimes, the biggest breakthrough does not come from changing the team.

It comes from understanding the leader behind the team.

Understanding your leadership pattern is the first step.
Bringing that awareness into real business challenges is the greater test.

Following the Decode Your Leadership DNA sharing,
Dr. Vincent will also be joining the upcoming Forum
to continue the conversation.

As the environment shifts, competition intensifies, and businesses evolve,
leaders need more than insight,
they need clarity, direction, and the ability to lead with confidence.

From self-understanding
to real-world leadership,
this is the next important step in the journey.

See you at the Forum!

We are honoured that Dr. Vincent Chew has been invited as one of the speakers for the 2026 JCI Malaysia Area South Convention, hosted by JCI Johor Bahru.

His session, “Decode Your Leadership DNA”, will bring leaders through a unique and practical discovery journey by combining both Enneagram and Numerology helping business owners, managers, and leaders understand why and how they naturally lead, think, communicate, and make decisions differently.

Some leaders are naturally bold and decisive.
Some are structured and detail-focused.
Some are people-centred and relationship-driven.
Some are visionary and future-oriented.

But the truth is:
Many repeated business problems are actually unexamined leadership patterns.

The same staff issues.
The same communication breakdowns.
The same hiring mistakes.
The same team conflicts.
The same partnership challenges.
The same ex*****on gaps.

Sometimes, the problem is not the business.
It is the leadership pattern behind the business.

Because the way we naturally lead can become both our greatest strength and our biggest blind spot.

This session is not just about “personality”.
It is about uncovering the patterns behind how we lead, work, communicate, make decisions, and build teams.

When leaders understand their own DNA, they stop leading by assumption and start leading with intention.

To all of our dearest students in JB, we are looking forward to meeting you there.
