2022 Theme: "Universal Social Protection to End Child Labour" calls for increased investment in social protection systems and schemes to establish solid social protection floors to protect children from child labour.
Only 46.9% of the global population were effectively covered by at least 1 social protection benefit while the remaining 53.1% – as many as 4.1 billion people – were left unprotected.
Coverage for children is even lower. Nearly 3/4 of children, 1.5 billion, lacked social protection.
HOW CAN WE CONTRIBUTE TO MAKE A CHANGE?
We should know where, who, and how are clothings are made? Being a lover of fashion and style, we should seek transparency from our favourite brands about how they made our clothes.
