Back in March 2025, we headed to Vienna for the Zero Project Conference—an annual event at the UN that celebrates innovative solutions for disability rights worldwide. We were shortlisted among the top 160 solutions and were the only Malaysian organization there. Pretty surreal!

We know this post is way overdue—honestly, there's been so much to process that we needed time to sit with it all.

The conference was eye-opening. Seeing what's possible when inclusion is truly prioritized really shifted our perspective. Grateful to have learned from so many incredible innovators from around the world.

We have had time to reflect and now we're looking at inclusion in Malaysia with fresh eyes. There's work to do, and we're ready to do our part.

Congrats to all the winners—your work is truly inspiring! Hopefully, we'll get to represent Malaysia on stage next time. 🇲🇾🌍

We met some amazing people at Zero Project from all over the world!

Our time at was incredible—not just because of the amazing solutions from the shortlisted awardees, but because of how the event itself was designed to be truly accessible for everyone.

Quiet rooms for people with sensory needs, guide animals, accessibility pins, assistive communication tools—everything was thoughtfully put together to make sure no one was left out.

Seeing accessibility woven into every part of the event really drove home an important point: inclusive spaces absolutely work when you plan for them from the start.
This experience has fired us up to push for similar standards back home in Malaysia—making sure accessibility isn't just a checkbox, but built into everything we do.

Attending the Zero Project in Austria was truly inspiring. Being the only Malaysian attendees among thousands from around the world? That was pretty special.

Beyond the sessions, we got to explore a bit of Vienna—and wow, what a beautiful city. The whole trip was unforgettable and has stuck with us, both personally and professionally.

Looking back at this past March, we were honored to have participated in this conference, where the Employment and ICT theme provided valuable insights for building a more inclusive future.

With 120 sharing sessions led by Zero Project Awardees alongside experts and global leaders in disability inclusion, we had the opportunity to learn and discover practical solutions.

Key takeaways from the conference:
✅ Strategic approaches to fostering inclusive employment within large organizations
✅ Proven ICT innovations driving sustainable change for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) worldwide
✅ Cutting-edge technology and tools designed to accelerate disability inclusion

Since returning from the conference, we've been working to implement these insights and solutions to advance accessibility and inclusion in Malaysia. The knowledge gained continues to guide our efforts today!
